Smile Our Beloved PS3

Well Played Madden online this AM (and won). Went out....kid played lotr. All good. I come home in the afternoon want to play more madden before Football so I put the disk in and PS3 makes funny noises. No Madden.

Panic stricken I Check this site and Sony site. Try other games, BD, DVD, Music nothing. System works fine can go online but no disks. Everything I read is not good. Laser needs replacing. Will take 3-4 weeks. Oh NO!

Bought it as an open box at Sams in Oct. Call sams club they say bring it back for credit since they have none. Credit works at Walmart so I get one.

Bottom line is I plug it in, Put in my passwords and all set. Did not back anything up but not a lot there anyway most important is playing Madden online and watching BD.

Its like I never skipped a beat.

Lucky! I took my 60GB almost 2 years old PS3 last week to Service. It did the same as you described... Laser is being replaced, no warranty so I will have to pay $150 at the Sony Service Shop. I will have it back by Tuesday.
Best,
DJ Headd

I have a friend who bought a plasma from Sam's Club that messed up on him. He took it in, a year after buying it, and they replaced it without even looking at the TV.

This is the reason people buy consoles from Sams and Wal-Mart
because they have the best overall customer service!!

No Just went with the 80g. Tempting but did not want to spend the extra 100.
