Can I get a disc replaced years after purchase? - Blu-ray Forum

I bought the Godfather set some years back. I watched the movies, but never got to the bonus disc. Finally decided to pop it in and it never went to the main screen. I would just get a loading screen and then go black. Tried it on my PS with the same results, except it froze the console.

I looked at the disc and saw that it has an imprint "smudge." Can I get a replacement if I contact the distributor? or am I SOL? No receipt, if it matters.

Have you tried cleaning the disc to see if it resolves the issue. If that doesn't work, you could try contacting the studio as they have been known to replace faulty discs.

It has nothing to do with that. There's a a "smudge" between the disc and label due to printing.

Contact Paramount. They'll replace it.

I would have to send back the one I have, right? Would I have to supply the case? or do they send you it?

Guess I didn't understand what you meant. If the "smudge" is on the label side then it won't affect playback.

Anyone know if HBO/WB does it? One of my discs for Boardwalk Empire stops then fast forwards several minutes.
