If it's rolled back to the earlier version; Yes it still crashes. My latest video driver is up to 2016.

EDIT: The video with the native american music still buffers from time to time.

That's the latest Windows 10 Update, and it does sound like a Graphics problem. With Laptops you can't do much upgrading, like adding a better Graphics Card. I have two Desktops, and when I upgraded Windows 10 my Wife's Computer had Graphics problems, because she had an Analog connection to her Monitor. I had to add a Radeon DVI Graphics Card to solve the problem. What kind Laptop do you have, see if they have a new Graphics Driver for this latest Update.

You must not have read the entire post. They are not DRM free as I said, as they have more and worse DRM than physical copies that have been rightfully considered to have DRM for years.

I realize that I had to have a gog account for the initial download, but now that I have downloaded them I can do with them as I please. I have transferred my downloaded games to a newer computer from my older computer with no further accessing of gog.com. Only a couple of the games that I have required that a special code be typed in during the installation process. They are like the mp3s of video games.

I realize these games may not be fully drm free as you have defined it, but now that I have them on my hard drive, I do not need to have any other interaction with gog.com. I could even share them, if I were so inclined, with people who have never had a gog.com account, not that I would.

Speaking of the 'decline' of physical media - Obi-Wan Spinoff "Rumored" To Premiere On Disney Streaming Services. Hopefully this does not signal the beginning of the end of physical releases. I like the convenience of streaming, but I don't want to go to a subscription-only model to watch movies. I'd rather buy the Blu-ray disc one time. And I don't know why people keep saying Solo was a bad movie. It wasn't. It performed poorly at the box office because fans were upset over The Last Jedi.

There's never any shortage of rumors. Disney may premiere this spinoff on their upcoming streaming service, but that in no way means that they will never release it on physical media. They might do this simply as way to promote their new streaming service. After a promotional period, a disc release would be all but certain to follow.

I believe Disney will milk every last cent out of the Star Wars franchise in every way possible. Star Wars movies will sell readily on disc and I just don't see Disney passing on such an easy money maker. It would not be the first time that a release appeared on some form of streaming first and was then followed by a disc release.

Again, sure, you can safely assume the people who dress up in costumes and wait in line for three days for a movie premiere are passionate fans of that movie/franchise.

What you can't assume is that the people who don't dress up in costumes and wait in line for three days for a movie premiere are not passionate fans of that movie/franchise.

I doesn't work that way.

Perhaps not but I can eat my cake and then just go get some more cake, can't I?

Unless of course people stop making cake. And then they stop making sugar and flour and eggs so I can't make my own cake.

You're absolutely right. My age has nothing to do with it. I've been an expert on everything for decades.

I think producing Discs will all depend on how well the Streaming Movie does. The Studios also see the decline of Disc Sales. I was at two Best Buy Stores, in the L.A. area and here in my Home Town. 4K Discs are not coming down in price, they mostly remain at $20+. That is too costly for one viewing. The stocking is all controlled by the Distributor, they don't sell they don't restock. Even Blu-rays are just coming down to $10. People will seek out the best price to watch a Movie. Right now the Digital Code Market is Flourishing!

Disc outsells digital codes by slightly more than 2 to 1. Therefore, if codes are "flourishing," discs must be doing pretty decent themselves. That same Home Video Sales thread on this website that you like to reference only when it suits your purpose reported this fact previously and it has been shown to you repeatedly. Subscription streaming, i.e. Netflix, is experiencing robust growth, but when it comes to purchases, discs are far and away the number one choice of consumers.

$20+ is not "too much" to buy a movie on disc. You can watch the disc more than once in case you hadn't heard yet; they don't self destruct. If 4K discs were vastly overpriced, as you suggest, then they would not be seeing an eight-fold sales increase. It seems the price is very much inline with what the market will pay as the 4K discs are selling extremely well. Only cheapskates like yourself object to paying this for the best possible video and audio presentation of a movie.

Digital codes are not exactly a bargain, either. For new releases in particular, they are often just $2-$5 cheaper than the blu-ray or even the 4K disc. For that slightly discounted price, you get access to a highly compressed video and lossy audio on a content provider's remote server which in turn is dependent on server performance and the unreliable nature of internet service connections. Topping it all off, you have zero control over that content because it is not in your possession. All you save is shelf space.

No thanks and no sale. And where's my cake?

Yeah, it’s flourishing that much, the industry is ignoring it and going all in with streaming.

Some people will actually seek out the best experience to watch a movie. There are those who pay the extra money to go see a major tent pole release in an IMAX or Dolby theater. Some will pay extra to see it in a theater with recliners and food/cocktails being served. There are those who also invest a lot of time and money to make sure they have the best experience in their home when they watch a movie. There are even those who don’t go to the theater to see a movie because they know it will be a better experience to wait a few months and watch it at home. And yes, I fall into the last group as I haven’t seen a movie in a theater since Mission Impossible Ghost Protocal 6 years ago. I got tired of all the distractions with people being inconsiderate, and I couldn’t take being frustrated with bad audio. But I would however consider myself someone who loves movies and even some tv shows....but has never streamed anything.

I've only seen the inside of a theater a handful of times over the past ten or fifteen years and while I'd love to spin that as an indication of just how much I revere the art form the truth is I'm just lazy.

My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite Pro from 2014. My Graphics Card drivers are Intel HD. I had some remote assistance from Windows live agents yesterday; and they said that it could be that my drivers for LAN, Wi-Fi & Graphics card that have to be updated. But first I was told to go into Command Prompt in Administrator mode to try and see if there anything wrong with my issue. I will report back as soon as I can when I finish it.

If your Laptop is getting the BSOD, you have a Hardware problem, and I think it's the Graphics. Here is a Link to the Toshiba Web Site put in the information and see if you have the latest Drivers. I've also included Intel Support for your Graphics Card. Good Luck!
