I have great appreciation for films, and I don't usually mind grain, but when it's distracting and all of the people I had come over to watch 300 all stop watching the movie (on this one scene only) to comment that something is wrong with my disc or tv (and I have a calibrated Pro-FHD1), it makes me wish it wasn't as grainy.

And it's a personal preference right? So why tell people that they have little appreciation for films just because they prefer something different from the way YOU like it?
