Blu-ray Samurai

"Original film materials" generally means not the original negatives. If this is even a decent scan of a print then I'll still get it and choose it over the Arrow whenever I want to watch the film.
I'll take a presentation with inferior detail over one with great detail which gets a fundamental part of the presentation wrong. Same reason why I stuck with my DVD of Carpenter's Vampires when at the time the only Blu-rays had been "naturalized" and lacked the heavy red push which Sony/TT thankfully corrected for later releases. |
