In essence, the Double Lenti cover (front and back) is great for depth (not a transitional) and the Full Slip is a semi-gloss cover with light embossing of the script on front and wakizashi sword on the back. The FS has an accompanying "guide" booklet, (in Korean) with some lovely pics in it. The disc cases are Scanovo, not amaray, with beautiful artwork. I have yet to watch the film, as I have a few in the queue ahead of it (i.e. Vampire Hunter D.) but should have it spooled up by the week-end. It's in 4:3 original aspect ratio with English audio (Dolby True HD 5.1) and Korean subs. I think you would find this a worthwhile purchase. ![]() Cheers! edit: as for which is better, copy wise, depends on your preference. The Lenti is strikingly gorgeous but the simplicity and accompanying booklet are big factors leaning toward the FS. Only you can toss that coin... ![]() Last edited by Gorgon; 06-14-2018 at 03:49 AM. |

Within the past year I upgraded both my US Akira blu-ray and GITS releases to a nicer deluxe boxset of each (UK for Akira and Nova for GITS). I wanted to upgrade NS though my copy has a really nice slip. But, I hate that I would have to buy two releases to get what I want here; the lenticular and the booklet. Plus, I don't need 3 copies of a particular movie on my display shelf as space is limited at this time. So, guess that I will just have to be content with what I have. But, I sure would love an unboxing video or pictures of the included book.

^^ I fully understand.
Unfortunately, my computer and digital camera are not at present, on speaking terms. That's why I haven't as yet posted any pics of my wonderful film collection to date. I've been trying to figure out what the issue is but haven't really been spending any amount of time to resolve it. I hope to soon. ![]() Meanwhile, I should think if not already, there will soon be such type unboxing on Youtube. You should be able to track one down soon (I hope!) ![]() edit: If I could only own one, I'd choose the Full Slip. Its classic design and overall layout is the superior imho. Also, I suspect the Lenti is a duplicate picture of the (embossed?) copy you already own.... ![]() Last edited by Gorgon; 06-15-2018 at 01:24 AM. |

Sucks about your phone not working with your computer! Hopefully you can get that working again, soon. The artwork on the blu-ray that I own is just slightly different than that found on the Lenticular. This is the embossed slip cover: Unknown.jpg |

I ordered (and received, minty) both the Lenti and the FS with book.
The lenti is nice but it is a repeat of previous covers. The FS with the book though is assuredly unique and a lovely chance to own a copy of a much beloved film with extras not available otherwise. Were I to need to choose only one, the FS wins, hands down... ![]() |
