I had almost given up and was about to order the UK version. Now if only we could get Hot Shots 1&2.

I remember enjoying this when I saw it at the theater in 1987. I haven’t revisited it since then, but it’s good stuff.

'bout damn time.

This was, like, the last major Tom Hanks movie not released on Blu in the US.

And as is custom when a long awaited title is finally released, I shall proceed to piss and moan because something else hasn't made it out yet:

Why won't Uni do something with the original Dragnet TV show from the 50s?

They're some other great Hanks films still M.I.A. in the U.S. like Splash, Turner and Hooch and my personal favorite, Volunteers.

I knew I'd screw something up by only being half-assed specific.

I should've said "unavailable on region free disc", because I've got those Aussie releases of Splash and Turner and Hooch. And IIRC, that UK Dragnet release and the recent German release of Volunteers are both locked, aren't they?
