Yeah, they used to let you do ship-to-store for pre-orders and let you pay the sale price, even for titles that wouldn't be released until after the sale would be over.

Was gonna pick up The Uninvited, Innocents, and The Apu Trilogy but for some reason I keep stalling out during the PayPal checkout. I think it’s a problem with my phone so I’ll try later. The main thing about these sales is to not go off the deep end and spend $500 like I did last time...

Oh man, Hitch's Notorious back in the collection makes me so excited. It needed a new scan so badly too as the MGM disc was lacking quite a bit in the PQ department.

Yeah, I don't care about Spellbound. I'd pick it up when released, but Notorious is the one I can't live without in my collection.

Interesting. You don't think that the lead character is way out of his league with Delpy? That was a problem for me. As was the way the characters are just tossed around like beanbags by the script.

I'll admit that maybe I was just a wee kid when I last saw it, so maybe the Book of Job like trials of the movie will carry different weight with me now that I'm a responsible adult. But at the time I wasn't impressed.

I've not seen it, but I really want to as I've heard about it for awhile. Ever since an image for it appeared on Hulu or Filmstruck. I hope it's announced for October. I cannot wait to be utterly destroyed by this film.

No more so than Julia Roberts/Lyle Lovett or Paulina Poriskova/Ric Ocasek... you know, real life people that prove anyone can be in love. So, no.

They seem to never reuse a DVD cover. I loved the original DVD cover of "The Vanishing". It had a similar vibe to their "The Rock" cover.
