Eyes of a Stranger fits well with the other non-CE properties they've released of late, like the Evil, the Unborn, and Scream For Help. Hope to see it make the cut.

Eyes of the Stranger, that would be nice if it happens.

It's a very sad legacy when people are hoping that you will die so that Dawn of the Dead and Martin will finally get proper blu ray releases.

Well, it's a very sad legacy when a person who will die some day will only be remembered for denying what he could have been praised for.

Alright, so Arrow just announced a UK only release of Candyman.

Fingers crossed that Scream Factory either posts their own announcement for an equivalent release today or next week at Comic-Con.

Two things of note in the announcement:

1. It's only a 2K transfer. Tony Todd or Bernard Rose (who was it?) said something about a 4K transfer, didn't they?
2. It does feature a new commentary with Todd and Rose, which one or 'tother tweeted about as well.

Since Arrow is releasing it in October, it might be announced today for SF’s final October announcement (they have an opening for October 16th).

Oh great now we get to hear the inevitable which Candyman release is better debate...why couldn't Arrow just have both rights. Hate when this happens.

I certainly hope so, but I feel like I should just start complaining right now about the value aspect as I don't see Scream Factory coming even remotely close to what Arrow has prepared. That Arrow edition looks fantastic and will likely carry a cheaper price tag even with all it's accoutrements than what a potential Scream Factory edition will go for. Prove me wrong Scream Factory, Prove me Wrong.

Does Sony still have Candyman in the US or not? If so, there’s a good chance it will have a 4K transfer.

IF Scream is doing Candyman, I wonder if it'll be a Shout/Arrow duel release a la To Live and Die in LA...cause those features aren't too bad on the Arrow release. I don't know if it'll be worth buying both for a slight in difference in features like what occurred with Raising Cain (though I know Arrow's RC dropped the "Director's Cut" in later editions).

I preordered the Arrow edition. There's no way Shout's going to best it if they do have this. Shout needs to step up their game. Instead of posters they should focus on coming up with deluxe packaging and booklets. After Vinegar Syndrome's awesome slips and Arrow's sturdy chipboxes it's hard to go back to generic cases and flimsy slipcovers with holes cut out.

Happy Friday the 13th Everyone!

Unfortunately we don't have any new titles to announce today like we have in the past to celebrate the holiday. But we'll certainly make up for it big time when we announce 10+ titles at our Comic Con panel next week on July 20th from 7-8pm PT

Sometimes it just feels like they are out of touch with the horror community, like they just dont get it. Why wouldn't you plan for it. This sort of convinces me they dont have an unrated JGTH or X.

I will say I am a bit more concerned about the titles Scream Factory has now. I would have thought that they would have perhaps attempted to one up Arrow by having something waiting to be announced for today. My guess is that whatever they have planned for comic con is going to be lower tier and/or not necessarily horror.

Slightly disappointed. Wish they could've released one on this special horror-centric day, but I guess the Arrow announcement makes up for it.

Let's keep this in perspective though... Candyman is the first thing Arrow have announced all year that's been worth getting excited for, Scream Factory in the other hand have been releasing great titles month after month and already have a great October line up.

It seems like the big titles might be with Shout Select. Even if it's just one big title, like Cruising, or Deadly Friend, or Surviving the Game, I'll be happy. But if it's a bunch of rereleases with fake excitement behind it, I'll be justly disappointed.
