To all of you sending me pm’s asking me for links to my covers, please just send me your email address in the first pm, it makes it much easier for me to share - thanks.

Celebrating today, I'm posting a custom cover for the first Friday the 13th movie. I did one before, but I like this one better. And it's in the same type of the ANOES ones I did before. Any feedback is accepted.

Black Panther is up next and it should be done by the time Infinity War releases. I hope to someday get caught back up with these but Nissen is a busy man and it does take time to complete these
I'm curious, does he draw this? Cause if he does, maaaaan, stunning work, really. I'm not a Marvel fan, but I would buy the movies and print this just to have them in physical.

Thanks for the compliment!
While the aim is a hand-drawn look, these are made using several Photoshop filters over existing marketing materials. I do a lot of manual touch-ups to the linework, but the underlying figure is always a photo or concept art from the films.

I wrote a detailed run-through of my process a few years back.

Wow, amazing. It must really take a lot of time to do this then, even if you don't draw everything by hand.

Used the studio back cover and built the front cover and spine to approximate the poster/dvd release cover of Scorsese's "The Color of Money."

Can someone tell me what the best and most basic, easy-to-understand way to print one of these covers would be? Any help would be appreciated.

Default Kong Skull Island UHD

I did a similar cover for the Blu-ray of KONG when it came out. Recently decided to put the UHD on the shelf so I whipped this up...

Cheers! No one has ever asked for anything I did haha
I'm still making small tweaks to it, but when it's done I'll send you the file.

Here's what I do. I save the file. I open it in Photoshop. Under IMAGE SIZE... I check that the document size is somewhere around 264.16 mm X 147.32 mm and I usually bump up the resolution to 600 pixels/inch. I re-save the file as a PDF. I put the PDF on a USB thumb drive. I go to my local library and print it out in color for 25 cents. I usually wait until I have about 2 or 3 things to print. Most bluray covers will fit when you print them on letter size. Larger, multi-disc covers as well as DVD covers I print on legal paper. That way you don't get the sides cut-off.

You have to be careful when you print to make sure you select ACTUAL SIZE as sometimes the default setting is for it to FIT TO PAGE.

I bring my stuff home and get under a good light source and cut them out using scissors by hand. You can always tape it down and use a t-square or ruler and cut it with an X-acto knife. I've just gotten pretty good over the years cutting out CD, DVD and blu-rays covers freehand.

Another little tip. If your image has a lot of white in it, especially around the edges, you might have a hard time cutting it out since it's printed on white paper. In cases like that, in Photoshop, I'll select all, copy, then make a new document slightly larger than the image. I'll set the background color to black or a color that's NOT used in the image. I'll select all and then delete, leaving the whole page as black (or other color), then I'll paste the image I copied and BOOM! You know have a nice border around your image. I'll FLATTEN IMAGE and then resave it as a PDF.

I'm sure everyone does it differently, that just how I do it. Take this for what it's worth.

Go Here: http://www.emdb.eu/undercover10/

Download Program.

Install Program.

Open Program.

Drag image to be printed onto Program.

Print.

(I also created a template for Viva Elite Cases and Criterion Cases in addition to the template provided in the program. To do that open the existing template for Blu Rays by clicking on it. Click Edit settings or edit template can't remember what it's called, adjust settings to... 150.0 and height to 268 and rename the template.)

You're welcome. I do things pretty low-tech, but it works for me.

Default Superman/Supergirl Blu-ray covers by Nissen

When it was suggested that I do a Supergirl cover for the upcoming Warner Archive edition Blu I slapped myself for not thinking about it myself :-)

Anyway, here it is, using the UK artwork by Brian Bysouth. Requests for download links are to be sent through PMs as usual.

The rest of the Superman series (for those that came in late):

Have you ever considered doing a cover for the theatrical cut SII using the artwork that you used for the Donner Cut?
