Stick in there and get those credits!

When I got out of the Army I found out I needed to get at least an Associate Degree to do my Army job in the civilian market.
( this was before my service connected injuries permanently sidelined me 7 years later )

So I worked during the day fulltime and at night went to school to get the Associate degree, and it did only take 2 years.

That Degree got me a job 1st in the local VA Hospital Electrical Shop installing updated computer equipment in just about every part of the Hosp.

Than I got a job working as a Security System Tech at the Bullion Depository at Ft. Knox,
aka:The Gold Vault ( yes the one from Goldfinger )

Loved that job soooo much, really miss it!

But my service connected injuries just became so bad I had to retire and go on full VA disability which is only
about a 1/3 of what I made at the Gold Vault

So B-Man, get that Degree!

I go straight to alcohol to fix any pain, physical or emotional. It's the best thing ever

Last night I operated the three different types of Machines that we have. This doesn’t happen too often and I enjoyed it. Running the smallest one made me reminisce about starting this Mine a few years ago.

Leaving in about 10 minutes for that faux interview, definitely need to be quick about it so I can get back and clean up a bit and water the plants before I go to bed.

The whole turn right on red thing. The red light means stop, and you can turn right even though it's still red. If you get hit in the rear while turning right on red it's your fault as a driver, so it's still a judgement call. So many times I can easily turn left on red, and as an intelligent person understand the risks as a riskier judgement call if it were permissible to do so. It's like I'm being held back on the ability to most efficiently navigate my automobile because of the dolts in our society. I guess as a whole the rules and laws that govern us aren't for the mindful, but the most ignoble.

They should get rid of all the warning labels on stuff to weed out the morons.

not sure about other states, but here you can turn left on red if it's from 1-way onto a 1-way. not too many people know that one or make use of it. they sit there, you blow your horn and motion for them to go, they throw up their hands like they have no idea what's going on.

if you (in general, not YOU, specifically) don't know the traffic laws of your state....probably shouldn't be driving.

That might be a nation-wide thing, because it’s a valid rule here as well. You can make a left on a red under those circumstances. But around here there are very few streets you can do that on. Within the city limits, you can’t turn on a red unless posted (and it’s almost never posted). Outside the city limits, 1-way streets that turn onto other 1-way streets are as rare as unicorns. But it’s in the books as being a rule.

Am I right then in thinking that certain rules of the road vary from one state to another? As I'm in the UK, I didn't know that. Over here we have what we call the 'Highway Code' which is a general set of rules for the whole UK.

With regards to turning at traffic lights for example, some may have a separate green arrow where cars turning in that direction are permitted to go even though the main light is on red. In other words, cars going in any other direction have to remain stopped.

we have those here, as well. they're not at all intersections with lights, though. mainly at high-traffic areas, i've noticed (at least here where i live).

in some states, there are lights on the on-ramps to the interstate/freeway. it keeps the congestion down from merging traffic during high-traffic times. i'm not aware of anything like that here where i live. but when i lived in washington/oregon, i noticed a couple of them, especially in downtown portland.

With so many different strains and blends, I'm sure you can find one that effects you.

Ted: Oh hey listen, try this, I told my weed guy to step it up and he gave me that. [Ted passes a bong to John] .

John:What is this?

Ted: It's called "Mind Rape", it's actually pretty mellow.

John: It doesn't sound very mellow.

Ted: Well he only had three other batches: "Gorilla Panic", "They're coming! They're coming!" and something called "This Is Permanent"... Go on, spark it up!

There’s a newer red light law here in PA, that was originally intended for motorcycles only, but expanded to include all vehicles. It essentially says you can go any direction through a red light, if it’s not changing, and it’s safe to do so.

It’s supposed to mean at night, like if you’re stuck at a red light at 1am with no other cars around. If you stop, wait a little and it’s clear, you can proceed through. However, the law wasn’t made with any times included in it. So you could potentially just go through in the middle of the day.
