Thank you. Neat and clean was exactly what I was going for. Especially with everything in front of the seats.

I watched Ready Player One this morning and was really impressed with it. It might be my favorite Atmos track so far. Lots of fun to hear during the opening race and third act battle.

RodChester you have a fantastic theatre room, it is neat & clean just how I would do ours, if I had the know-how/resources. I can only dream of
us owning something like yours ... I would call ours Cup of tea theatre ... as I do now without a home theatre!

My brother got it for me as a present. I’m pretty sure it is this one from Amazon.

I spray painted it flat black myself. If you have a Hobby Lobby near you, they have some similar things too.

Thanks. I’m really happy with this projector as well. Are you familiar with the German gamma curves? I used them and they make a pretty great image with 4K HDR content.

I read about them a while ago but forgot to look into it further. I'm happy with the way it looks at the moment.

I hear ya. If you're happy why mess with it. I will say, for me the biggest advantage of using the German gamma curves is being able to have a bright HDR picture with low lamp mode on the projector. Which will lead to your bulb lasting longer.

Finally watched my 4K copy of Pacific Rim yesterday. Man, this disc was a blast. The Atmos track was very good and the video looked great. I had always been a bit disappointed by how the big fight scenes took place at night, but all those colors looked incredible and really popped with the HDR. It’s the first time I really liked and appreciated the night time fights.

Just finished watching Infinity War and it was nearly as impressive as seeing it in the theater. Not having the option for the IMAX ratio is a bummer. However, it seems like Disney has made improvements to their audio because the Atmos track sounded really good to me.

I picked up a 4K copy of the first Avengers and will be watching that this weekend. I can’t wait to see what the HDR upgrade does for that since I have heard good things.

I had the pleasure of revisiting The Avengers with the new 4K disc last night. It had been quite sometime since I had seen the film and I enjoyed seeing it again. The new 4K disc looks and sounds awesome. The battle of New York is demo material for sure.

Finally found a copy of the Diamond Luxe edition of Gravity for a decent price on eBay. I watched it last night and was quite impressed with the Atmos soundtrack. The movie is still as intense and gripping as it was the first time I saw it.

Hi

Great setup and looking great. I have few queries and curious to know your views.

1) Reason for going for Elac C5.2 instead of C6.2 since you have space for it (I personally own C5.2)

2) Reason for using OW4.2 as surround instead of Elac B5.2 as you are using slightly better specs of B5.2 on rears where they are very rarely being utilized? (I am itching to buy OW4.2 for my surround in my 5.2.4 setup, as i sit close to couch and have open space to my sides. So I intend to place them on wall close to my couch).

I use Elac B6.2 as fronts with C5.2. Looking to add OW4.2 for surrounds at later stage.

Thanks

Hi there. Thanks for the comment. I went with the 5.2s for my fronts and center as a way to save some money and I thought they would sound fine with the size of my room. Which they do.

I would have liked to have used the bookshelf speakers for my sides, but I just don’t have enough room between the wall and my seating for people to walk by with the larger speakers. The on walls sound very good and I am not disappointed with them at all.
