Thanks Bob. That is too bad. I'll just use it as a reference knowing the flaws it has. It looks like it is the best book we have available right now that touches on so many of these lost 3-D Movies.

Would you recommend everyone who loves 3-D still have a copy of it, warts and all?

Asked someone from Shanghai Film Studio, they haven’t restored Magician's Adventure (Mo shu shi de qi yu, 魔术师的奇遇) yet but they have plans for it... Hope they will do a decent 3D restoration for this film soon...

Add Legend of the Naga Pearls to this list.

It was converted to 3d in post production and released in 3D and IMAX 3D in China, but has no blu ray 3d release available and i don't think there will ever be one.

Naga Pearls, the first Journey to the West and Kung Fu Hustle are on my wish list for 3D releases from china that never came to be.

I would actually buy the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds concert if it were on 3D Blu-Ray- it's available on Vudu but they want $35 for it. Same with the Jonas Brothers concert movie. Missing in action completely is Justin Bieber's Never Say Never.

BTW "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare" only has the closing scene in 3D, and in theaters it was shown in anaglyph because some theaters didn't have the silver screens needed for polarized, plus I guess it would have been difficult to run the 2D portions without switching lenses for the 3D part. The DVD in the Elm Street box set includes it in anaglyph, but the Blu-Ray set doesn't. Later, Spy Kids 3D and Shark Boy and Lava Girl were shown anaglyph for the same reason, but a 3D Blu-Ray set of both exists.

Thank goodness for VUDU.

They have these 3d features in 1080(and polarized, not anaglyph) that I have been unable to find anywhere else, and likely never will. I bought while I could still get them.

The Concert 3ds are very good. Well done crowd concert scene 3ds which I always enjoy. And I had never listened to either, and the songs are not bad. Kind of catchy.

I imagine that with people paying $50.00 for some of the animated features in 3d they might want to give these a try as well.

I do actually have this on DVD but anaglyph 3D is kinda hard on my eyes so it never made it into my priority viewing pile...

Probably won't... Anyway, I saw this before it got pulled from theatres, I went to see it expecting something so bad it's good, but sadly it's just ordinary bad... For the 3D, though it's not amazing but it was quite a decent conversion, especially the depth was really well converted. The conversion was done by China Film Corp, which I think produced some best mainland China 3D conversions though can't compete with Hollywood conversions (for example 2012 3D).

Bernardo Bertolucci's "The Last Emperor" got converted a few years ago and was shown at a few film festivals; a 3D blu-ray is also available in Italy.

The IMAX documentary "Across the Sea of Time" was definitely a great 3D experience, I remember they had those old super bulky IMAX 3D glasses that aren't used anymore.

ps Tinkerbell Neverbeast is a beautiful wonderful 3d movie! One of the best 3d animated movies I have seen.

For the life of me I can't imagine why this is not in blu-ray.

I have removed it but there's a question mark over this release, as it may be anaglyph only, in which case it's not a real 3D blu-ray and will be going back on the list.

...and now that the bad news is in about Magnolia's US release, it's back on the list, still awaiting a real 3D blu-ray...

I noticed this title, Ali with Will Smith, is listed on Ebay, coming from Russia, and noticed that it is shown as being in 3d for $20.00. I know Mr. 13th is going to chastise me for my wishful thinking but I had to ask. Just a coincidence?

Same for original Independence Day with Will Smith. Wasn't it supposed to be re-released at some point in 3d, but cancelled. I noticed these same people have that title in 3d as well. Any thoughts?
