First two episodes have been good. I haven’t read the book so it’s all new to me. It’s also making me want to revisit Nocturnal Animals.

I read the book and loved it, you should def keep up w the show...it's doing pretty well with setting things up already for just 2 episodes. I can't wait to see how it's going to play out in the end....Nocturnal Animals was amazing also & is based on another great book called Tony & Susan, I highly recommend that too.

I read a comment somewhere that this plays like a new season of "True Detective." That was good enough for me to give it a try. After two eps, I'm hooked.

The first post on this thread contains a spoiler of sorts since one of the details mentioned in the synopsis has not been revealed yet. (If it has, it completely went over my head.)

Good second episode. Nice to see
[Show spoiler]more of the estranged relationship between Camille and her mother.

[Show spoiler]Camille's self-harm
is definitely interesting.

It hasn’t been revealed yet in the show. The synopsis is of the book.

That's the vibe I'm getting, that this series is like a True Detective Season Three almost. Which is definitely not a bad thing.

Man, the music choices (outside of the Zep selections which I like but I've heard a million times) are on *point*! Really digging the atmosphere, editing, and character work.

Yeah, the music choices are largely terrific. As a major Zeppelin fan, I loved how the more esoteric choice of In the Evening from the album In Through the Out Door was used in the second episode.

Just caught up with the first two episodes, definite True Detective vibe. Really enjoying it.

Episode 3! Such brilliant performances and work from Vallée. I was looking forward to seeing Camille’s time in the hospital and it didn’t disappoint.

I have always enjoyed Amy Adams’ work, starting with her early appearances in Drop Dead Gorgeous and Psycho Beach Party, but after experiencing Arrival and Nocturnal Animals, her films became must-sees for me. This one has not disappointed me yet.

I always liked her but I started to love her after seeing American Hustle and Her.

This is such a good show.

It definitely does have a True Detective vibe to it.

But it's just unique enough that it isn't a TD knock off.

Don’t really understand the praise for the show. It’s good, but the reactions I read every week make it out to be the greatest series ever. 4 episodes in I feel like nothing’s really happened. I know as much about these characters and story now as I did 3 weeks ago. Tonight’s episode had me bored the entire time. I’ll finish it because it’s a short season and I do like it, but I’m not seeing what makes it such great TV.

It’s a good show, not a phenomenal show. It’s also not as good as its next door neighbor in the same time slot on Showtime.

Episode 4 is terrific. The Adora and Camille confrontation was one of my favorite moments in the book and the performances were spot on.

I'm enjoying the show and Amy Adams is fantastic, but you wouldn't be able to function as a human being in real life as her flashbacks affect her waking life. Another show did this a while back as well. She's going run her Volvo off the road eventually!

I know it's a narrative device, but she is physically affected by them.
