Do you ever think Way of the Dragon would be brought to Blu Ray?
I really would love this film on BR, its my fav Bruce Lee film. But I highly doubt they would waste time to remaster this for such a small demand. ![]() Plus the audio is out of sync with the picture from the English dubbing. |

Agree...
As a Lee fan, I have never heard of that title. Way of the Dragon, with Lee & Chuck Norris (1973) is the best BL film by far IMO. |

Referring to Circle of Iron as a Bruce Lee movie is an absurd stretch. He had virtually nothing to do with the final production.
I think it'll be a few years, but I hope all of his Hong Kong films eventually make it to BD. My personal favorite is Fist of Fury (aka The Chinese Connection). Quote:

yeah circle of iron isn't really good at all... I kinda wish bruce could have worked on this before his death. He wrote a nice premise and story but it got out of hand after he passed and others started working on it and hacked it the hell up...
oh well, maybe we will get some wonderful bruce lee news soon enough huh ;-). J :-P |

I agree. Bruce Lee only made a handfull of films and they all deserve the Blu-ray treatment. However, I doubht that The Chinese Connection would be an improvement over DVD, because the source is of low quality.

I found a incredible deal at Tower.com,for us Bruce Lee Fans,I got the Ultimate Collection, that's 5 DVD's for the low price of $7.99(less than two bucks a film.yes $7.99!(and it's from Fox!,not Madacy or Goodtimes(anybody remeber that GT logo on the bottom right coner of Fists Of Fury and Chineese Connection?! I know that people would like to see a Blu set released, but think about it,these films were shot on a shoestring budget,so this is probably the best these films will ever look, they look awesome compared to those recorded full frame recorded from a VHS tape madacy versions(total rubbish!) This film includes five films in all their anamorphic widescreen glory,in know it's not Blu Ray but it's a hell of a set for an incredible price,I beleive this set was around 50 bucks or so when firsrt released,so for $7.99 its a steel, that's less than a single disc, here you get five in a nice box too,not that many extras though, get the superb Enter The Dragon for your Blu Ray Bruce Lee fix, that has a stunning transfer of the movie and a dojo full of awesome extras(every thing form the stellar 2 DVD set HERE),and to top it off it's a pretty cheap Blu too,a lot of bang for your buck!

Wow. I suspect there are a lot of people that disagree with you with myself being one of them. Putting ETD down seems to be a trendy thing these days because it has gained such popularity. To me, it's still a movie I love watching especially since the BD version looks so good compared to the VHS and DVD versions.

For me, listening to people ooze about how amazing it was piqued my interest in getting it. I bought it - and laughed. Kentucky Fried Movie nailed everything just right. The over-the-top faces, the hai-ya noises, and... well I could go on. The movie may be important to a select group - but like I said - seeing a movie that made fun of ETD, then actually WATCHING ETD... I laughed. If I was a 10-year old boy that had never seen a martial arts movie - ETD would probably impress me. These days though - given the 'martial arts' movies (or movies that contain great fight scenes) ETD looks amateurish. Yes, that right - Bruce looks intense in the movies... but silly. I said it. I'm not following any 'trendy' "Pick on Bruce Lee" trend... I'm just saying - It's like watching a recent blockbuster... then watching something by Mike Borschardt... (The subject of American Movie). ETD was, unfortunately, not worth the $14.99 the person who gave it to me paid. Not by today's standards. Just my feeling. |

Enter The Dragon is without a doubt the greatest martial arts movie that as ever been done, it's the reference in the genre. Bruce Lee at his best. We can only imagine what other marvel he would have created if he had remain with us longer.

ETD was a movie that I did watch as a 10 year old and so I do have a lot of love for it because of the nostalgia factor (yes, the faces are comical... I'll give you that). Either way, I do hope we get more Bruce Lee on BD but then again... I'm one of these people that wants everything moved over to BD. |
