We are only scraping the surface of what's feasible in ultra high end resolution moving pictures. We are @ the threshold of new and exciting possibilities. The best is yet to come, 8K/4D and all that jazz. |

You mean after having been manufactured, submitted and successfully completed testing (with proof of certificate) at an ATC like SimplayLabs (https://www.simplaylabs.com/Products...DMIATCTesting/)
Not that I’m aware of, got a ways to go yet. |

Prophecy fulfilled?
I think this prediction post from ~ 2 years ago - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...s#post12672382 is now coming to fruition with all the AV writers/bloggers now reporting on this, almost ad nausea, with even retweeting of tweets from those with boots on the ground. P.S. Later if I get time, for clarity I’ll try to repost the original pic in the top quote of that 9/15/2016 post since it became inactive when the free image hosting service I use changed its url and made all my all pics disappear. ![]() |

Between this thread and the 4K Movies thread the combined total is moving in on 10M.
Can’t remember how small the numbers were when I started to learn so I could make an informed purchase for my first 4K tv. I went with the Zed. Go big or go home. And then the Oppo. |

Perhaps when in a classroom for hours on end at NAS Fallon; nevertheless, I find this TV series (although not in HDR) to be not boring at all and quite amusing

That's Hollywood, California. Nothing's boring there. There is always something happening with the news in Hollywood. ...Be it from actors, film directors, film producers, new movies, new video technologies, new category @ the Oscars, new HDR TVs, ...

In a nutshell, read the first sentence of my signature and I continue to stand on the principle that if one is honest and tells the truth, one has the right to remain anonymous. In fact, probably works out better for you guys because I’m beholden to nobody and since the days of Club Penton now actually have more freedom to make posts like this –
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...d#post15367516 or this – https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...d#post15386317 rather than towing the party line of whatever the group, company or individual may be. You have to understand that in this industry a lot of endorsements by individuals to this or that product or concept are not based upon merit, but rather mutual interest relationships (you rub my back and I’ll rub yours). |
