Disney No Country for Old Men (2007) (Collector's Edition)

No Country for Old Men Blu-ray + DCopy

No Country for Old Men Blu-ray

On Blu-ray, April 7. A great movie with a proper blu-ray release. I will definitely double-dip.

Picture and audio were fantastic the first time around, and the new extras don't interest me. Disc two appears to just be the frisbee "digital copy" disc. Pass for me...

If the digital copy is the only new addition, forget it. I'm still ok with the sd dvd.

yep, there's thousands of movies that would be great to have
studios release this year but instead we get double dips of
CASINO ROYALE and now NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN...

I say show the studios that it's a little early in the game to expect
blu-ray fans to double dip with such limited selection out there
and COMPLETELY ignore stuff like this.

Instead of PCM we get DTS-HD which doesn't really make a difference. So really if the only additional material is the special features then I see no reason to double dip. Still awesome movie though.

This kind of crap really pisses me off. I'd rather they did it right the first time.
What ever happened to "do it once, do it right"?

That rarely applied to DVD releases, and Blu releases will be the same.

I love extras on home video; they are half the reason I purchase (well... almost half). These new special features aren't anything to write home about, so to speak. A couple of TV interviews and such. There will be very little double-dipping in the Blu community but good for those who haven't purchased this yet... I guess

Wow, another double-dip

Movie studios should be working on bringing new content instead of re-hashing releases, especially releases that aren't even one year old

+1. There are still some titles that haven't been released even 1 time on blu-ray. Studios need to get their priorities straight.

Same here.

The current Blu-ray release is an excellent disc.

I'm with the crowd. I see no reason to double dip. Now if it had an audio commentary with the Coens I would definitely buy the new one, but there is zero chance of them ever doing one it seems.

This has to be one of the more cynical double-dip ploys by a major studio in recent years. It was bad enough at DVD prices and it's even worse at Blu-ray prices. I hope the sales are terrible - the studios might then realise that people aren't going to fall for this nonsense, and they should get on with releasing the many titles that people are looking forward to buying on BD.
