Reasonable price. It greatly improved picture quality onto my LG G6 OLED. Upon specular bright highlights and quality of colors. I connect LG UP970 and Oppo 203 players to my G6 OLED. The UP970 connects directly to the G6 OLED. The OPPO 203 connects to AVR which then connects to my G6 OLED. In another TV Room I have 8 feet Echogear 48 Hz HDMI cable connected to E6 OLED from another UP970 player. I now have brought 6 of these 8 feet Echogear HDMI 48 Hz cables. They replaced the Certified Premium HDMI cable I had in my OPPO 203 box, my Fusion 4K high speed cables(very $ expensive), Atevon(an Amazon Choice) 18 hz hdmi cable. It's easy to audition these EchoGear HDMI Cable. There are many excellent Amazon reviews stateing increased PQ. Individual home TV setup(OLED picture mode element settings "Let it Breave", etc.) and AV Equipment may vary in results. I did not audition the EchoGears 4 feet 48 Hz HDMI cable. My impression is like Los Angeles Freeway Traffic at heavy times. Tho the Freeway can specify 70 MPH(I viewing as the HDMI 2.0 port regulator) on a 2 lane or 5 lane... you going to move more cars in the 5 lane. So to me on HDMI 2.0 Ports the EchoGear 48gz cables allows more PQ elements to move move freely. Or the right affecting PQ Elements to reach the HDMI 2.0 port on the OLED very timely or quicker. I'm really, really happy with the HDR results. (My reference to Quality of Colors above can include more details in Human Faces, or Richness in tones) Last edited by E6AtmosVuduDV; 08-12-2018 at 03:59 PM. Reason: Finishing. I notice another calibrator has since chimed in…. ![]() My advice to the people in charge of promoting these excellent TVs would have been not to taint the real engineering improvements of the Sony Bravia Master series with marketing nonsense because it’s a little insulting to the intelligence of well-informed videophiles and it belittles the actual fine work implemented by the engineers regarding authentic features like the X-Wide Angle, the X1 Ultimate processor, etc. or the fine work Netflix does independent to this 'collaboration'. Once I can get around to selling one of my current displays at a decent price eventually I’ll probably end up purchasing the Z9F despite the Netflix calibrated mode hype….or some might even say, deception. Heck, just to justify to my wife me getting yet another TV, I’d probably give away thee old TV we have down in one of the rooms in San Diego to my nephew who’s starting a new school this month if there weren’t a logistic problem with that and I didn’t think it might interfere with his or his housemates’ studies. P.S. Bob, I guess the 2nd paragraph of this ^ post rules out forever me again being offered previous perks like being wined and dined at fine local restaurants by V.P.s or complimentary passes to exclusive screenings at AMPAS’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater, free Blu-rays, etc. But I think I’m doing well regardless. ![]() Last edited by Penton-Man; 08-12-2018 at 06:25 PM. As mentioned above, I’m also aware of them, but have not tested their 48Gbps functionality claim and I know they are not certified as true HDMI 2.1 cables thru ATC testing, e.g.
![]() Thus I was very hesitant (as I assume was also the case with gkolb ![]() For HDMI 2.1 cables why not just 4 lanes (4x12Gbps) for an aggregate of 48Gbps? Do these cables have more than 4 lanes? |

Penton, I just came back from town...Victoria, near where you were just recently, that big Island across.
Sony makes great TVs, OLED and LED, their latest top models. LG makes great OLED TVs, Samsung with QLED, Panasonic OLED. They all blew me away. And size does matter. I occasionally have talks with audio/video dealers, like I had again today. There is no best but what turns us on. Life's good Penton, real good, and the surroundings are splendid near the mountains, ocean, beautiful people. It's like looking through the best HDR telescope of life. |

Lucky you, since we’ve gotten back from Vancouver between the heat and humidity in SoCal, it’s been absolutely sweltering around here making our bike rides really challenging.
A little trivia about LG and the ‘Life’s Good’ motto…..https://www.lg.com/us/experiencehappiness LG actually stands for Lucky Goldstar. Quote:

Yes, tons of eagles here everywhere, and when you're lucky enough in the right channel (passage), killer whales...Orcas.
They don't kill, it's just a name. • https://globalnews.ca/video/4260736/...-inner-harbour Now check this one out from just couple hours ago: • http://thechive.com/2018/08/12/kille...shes-it-video/ Killer whales don't kill, but they can take your sailing boat for a joy ride! It happens all the time; best is to hire private police whales to patrol your sailing boat. Would you like that, some killer whale stealing your sailboat just for kick and crashing it of another sailboat! They're like kids who need supervision, only few of them not all of them, the black sheeps. We need more cops killer whales in our waters where I live. ...The black and white killer whale cops with a red light on top and a police siren with whale's pitch. b.t.w., as mentioned last year and printed on the back of my pass – https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...o#post14070267
CEDIA returns to San Diego again this year. Due to other commitments, I will not be able to attend this time (nor, for that matter, IBC); however, heads-up to a Lunch n’ Learn by Jeff regarding the latest on 8K, digital signaling solutions, registration here - https://metrahometheater.com/cedia.html Also, as I mentioned last September for those who might yearn for barbecue and enjoy Top Gun nostalgia, there’s this – Quote:

I would love to come, hang out, and get to learn more about this stuff since I'm trying to get back into it. But theres no way for me to even go there this year. Heck, my Cousins wedding is next week on the Cali coast and I can't go. It would make me look really bad if I went but didn't fly all the way over for her wedding. lol
