im sorry but what? is there a plot or isnt there one? did you proof read all of that text? your saying that there is and isnt a plot so which is it? for me there is a plot its explained right at the start of the movie that sports has gone out of fashion and has devolved into advertising etc etc and sports would eventually come back in the younger generation because the older generation got it wrong. then we see the characters slowly evolve their new sport and becomes a success and then you get the 'villain' of the older generation that comes to try to take over and change the sport of the new generation into the very thing that the older generation got wrong with sports by manipulating events that unfold and would effectively kill the sport just like all other sports and in the end they stop that from happening. thats what i understood as the base plot but there is also the side arc of jenna and her foundation and the sick kid too. thats not entirely useless either because it shows how kids which are the NEW young generation are getting into the sport the main characters created by going to the games because originally the kids were visiting the game when we first see them.

OK so basically I meant that there isn't really that much of a plot, but what plot there is is kinda silly.

I know what you mean, they do give a load of spiel at the start about the evils of money corrupting sports and how players only chase the biggest pay deals etc...But to me it just felt very thin, a light wrap around a load of typical frat-boy sequences.

Its like they gave you all that spiel at the start to simply get it out of the way so they could then focus on their (somewhat amusing) infantile comedy.

Yes there is a villain who is trying to get his dirty mitts on the sport, but who cares? Its not really that important, you kinda forget about it. And Joey from the kid foundation was in there just for more gags I think I don't think his story was important at all.
