It really is Bourne Identity v. Weeds S2. Most of the HD DVD exclusives are noise. If the top 10 HD DVD is right, then two titles are old releases.

Plus, the new common titles will be all be in BD's favour.

I'll predict: 67/33

Wow - even with Bourne Identity, poor H-DUD can't even crack out of the thirties.

Next week will be a total blowout!

That's a prediction, I believe. The data hasn't been released yet, unless BabyBlu got his hands on the print version.

No, I don't know something y'all don't. But it's good to be prepared for surprises, one way or the other.

It's interesting that Bourne was the top selling HD title by a longshot and they still didn't break out of the 30's. I guess it just shows the depth of the BR consumer base. The fact that Casino Royale was the number 3 is indicative of a growing base of players since this is likely high on the list for any new BR owner.

PE aggregate sells more than Bourne. Casino still kicking ass.

Admittedly I'm rounding the numbers a little here but Bourne only sold about twice what Weeds S2 sold.

Dead Man's Chest sold as much Blood Diamond aggregate.

Casino Royale ,POTC both of them, And Apocalypto are gorgeous titles if there are still a BD owner who doesnt own them go and bought them .

Even these specifics titles show HD-DUD Fans and their followers that new PS3 owners are buying BD ,a mistake from their side that a PS3 cannot be count.

Congratulations to BD owners and see you next week with 300 and shooter records.

Default What's in our future Nielsens?

When Blu-ray gets titles like Spideys 1,2,3, Cars, POTC-3, . . . .

I think then we're going to really start seeing 3-to-1 and 4-to-1 weeks and even higher!

Not that it's the sort of comparison we're really wanting to know about (ie. 300), but "The Host" on BD cracked the top 10 overall, w/ an index of 32.78, and a total hi-def index of 44.63. That means that its HD DVD index is 11.85, for a BD/HD DVD ratio of 2.7662/1. So that title on BD was close to outselling its HD DVD counterpart 3/1.

And I expect the gamer crowd are skewed toward B&M buying. And from all accounts Blu-ray 300 flew off the shelves.

300 on Blu-ray is a consistent #2 on Amazon ahead of Hot Fuzz on DVD. That is, a Blu-ray title is selling better than a significant new DVD title released on the same day.

That is a MAJOR accomplishment.

I definitely see 4-1 or better in the near future. We got 3-1 w/o anything last week.
