Hey guys, i was wondering if any of you own this center-channel speaker? if so, is it good? Does it distort at high volume?

It is a very good center channel. I use it at high volumes all the time. High being -9dB. The only thing is that since some movies are quiet, I will put the speakers dB level up about +2, but there is never distortion. My crossover is set at 90 Hz too.

Here is a very good review of the CN5000 that one of the other guys on this site wrote. Just some more food for thought.

I dont think so, speakers are blown most often from being under powered. You may blow the speakers because your system may not be outputting enough power. I also beleive that the speakers you are using are meant to run at 8 ohms. Then again Im no expert, maybe it will work.

I don't personally own one of them, but I have heard it on other systems, played quietly and loudly. I can say that, for the money and its all-around availability, it's a great center channel speaker. You won't be disappointed.

Riverside is awesome, You can be anywhere in 30-45 minutes. There is no other place you can do that in Cali. I can be in the mountians, desert, dirt bike riding, beach, San Diego, LA all within an hour or less.

But yeah, MoVal..... F--ing terrible.

I lived at the apartments next to bolder crest apts, we had it as a Frat house from 88 to 2002/3, then they got booted. I graduated in '00. How funny, a few years apart in the same place.
