Yeah, component and HDMI are both very good high-def cables, but HDMI just provides a cleaner signal. It also depends on your TV. If you want full 1080p, most TV's can accept that signal via HDMI. Very few sets can accept a full HD signal via component. Also remember, to get a great signal from the analog cables, you need to pay for the quality. A decent set of component cables can run you well over $100. The best HDMI cable costs about $3.
