I've debated on doing that. I know that both Guardians movies occur pretty much back to back chronologically speaking. IMO the first Captain America is something of a gray area. While most of it obviously takes place well before the events of any of the other films, in the end when he wakes up in modern day, that takes place after some of the events that we've already seen.
Ultimately I've just decided to stick with release order, because I still rewatch any and all mid and post credits scenes when I rewatch the movies, and many are teasing something for the next movie (i.e. the scene of Cap and the punching bag, which is also in the first Avengers). By no means am I saying that you are wrong to put them in whatever order you want. It is just a personal preference. ![]() Something that I would be interested in as an experiment, though, would be seeing Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp cut together into one movie. I know that may seem like something odd to do (especially tonally), but since Infinity War bounces around a lot between characters in different locations, it could work (maybe first showing Scott after Falcon mentions him being on house arrest in Infinity War). I could see the Antman and the Wasp "half" of this combined movie being more trimmed down, editing out some content that isn't needed to tell the story and make things "flow" better. And of course [Show spoiler] But I digress as that is besides the point. ![]() |
