These special features exsist on the 35th edition, and the AB release.

Part 4 was a respectable sequel and the second best in the series (after the original, natch) save for the silly Part 5-setup coda.

Would've been nice if they'd kept this extra: "Halloween: A Cut Above The Rest" documentary (87:33).

Do a new search. Just pre ordered for 17.99 and tax came out to 19 and change.

Apparently--as anticipated--the excellent additional commentary from the Shout boxes with Wallace, Cundey and Castle has been left off the Lionsgate release.

Image properties in the trailer would appear to be the same as the 35th. Nevertheless, looking forward to seeing how much additional detail they can eke out of the 4K...and hearing from the UHD set what those HDR highlights--and deeper blacks--bring to Halloween table. As I have yet to go 4K, I'm relieved not to be tempted (this year).

For all those fans who bought the franchise BD box set, are you gonna hold off for an eventual 4K/UHD box re-release?
Not going to happen. It was a miracle that we got the bluray boxed set.

Yeah no way are we getting a 4K set. We’ll be lucky to get 2 & 3 on UHD.

I wouldn’t be surprised to also see 4 since that’s with Lionsgate as well. I would buy that in a heart beat, it’s my favorite of the sequels.

I'm tempted to pre-order this from Amazon, since it looks like it has an 8 digit sku on Best Buy, which means it won't be sold in stores.

Well five is never far behind four so if four does eventuate we will probably see five at the same time. Although I can't see either of them happening.

Yeah that would be solid. I love them all but I agree 4 is one of the better sequels.

I've always enjoyed part 5 more than part 4. But I'm pretty sure it's mostly because it was one of the first (if not the first) Halloween film I saw when I was a kid.

I like 5. 1&2 go together, 3 is a stand alone, 4&5 together. I admittedly like them all. I don’t count the Zombie movies. I’ll watch them every few years, last year the wife and I watched all and I told myself I won’t watch the Zombies anymore.

Yeah I love the first half-hour or so of the remake, but I'll usually shut it off after that. I don't hate the remake, but it's just not one of my favorites. H2 remake however, I absolutely hate.

I never really hated them but when I sat through them last year I was fed up. I might revisit in a few years but this Halloween season I’ll be stopping at H20.

I never liked the Michael Myers version in Halloween 4. Wasn't the actor to short or small, they used shoulder pads or something. And the mask was so lame.

Looking forward to the original in 4K. I like Halloween II & III. After that I'm out although I wouldn't mind revisiting H2O and I'm looking forward to the latest this October just because it basically erases all the sequels and it has Nick Castle.

Completely agree with your last two posts. Halloween 5 is probably my third favorite in the franchise after the first two. Similar to you, Halloween 5 is one of my earliest memories when it comes to horror. I remember watching it on TV with my family around and always dreading when the family would be going through the TV guide to see what's on and Halloween 5 was on, because I knew they would watch it and I would be too scared to watch it, so I would try to think of an excuse to stop watching TV with them without looking like a coward.

I enjoyed Halloween 4 as well, but I didn't like the ending at all and Michael looked absolutely ridiculous in it. The hockey pads under the suit making him look like Michael had a stick up his ass the whole time and the mask looking completely silly as opposed to being creepy. The actor in Halloween 5 was much more suited and built for the role than the actor that played Michael for Halloween 4 and 6.

I also thought the remake for the original was good, but not great. The whole "Michael was bullied and grew up in a abusive family" storyline was lame. But, there were some memorable scenes (Joe Grizzly and Michael). The remake for Halloween 2 was one of the worst movie watching experiences I've ever had. I can't think of anything redeemable about that movie with the exception of Danielle Harris's death and the use of her footage from when she was a child to make the scene more impactful.

One thing I don't understand, hoping you bunch can help - the announcement only mentions Dolby Vision, but not HDR10.
My Sony player doesn't support Dolby Vision - so will I see any HDR on this disc at all? (meaning do I assume it automatically has HRD10, or does it just have DV which my player can't access)
Thanks for any clarification!

Yes, you will get the mandatory HDR10 base layer.

Appreciate the answer TheSweetieMan.
I hope to get a player that handles DV since my t.v. already supports it, but need to save up the funds!
