If I remember correctly, it was a screaming contest at the convention. It was supposed to be for a role in Halloween 9 but when it became Zombie's remake, I recall she filmed a cameo as a reporter that ended up being cut from the finished film.

Yeah I love novelizations the one for Halloween 4 is great.

I have the novelizations for Halloween I, II, and 4 stored in a box somewhere in my house. Maybe I should dig them out and give them a read. Last time I read H4 was in '89 before going to the theater to see H5 with my college buddies.

I have just swapped out my Halloween cover from the previous Blu-ray edition of Halloween, put it in a 5 disc case and added 25 years of Terror DVDs, the DVD Of The tv version and the Halloween Unmasked doc from that release. I now have the ultimate edition until I eventually get a 4K release. I have also ripped the hologram from that dvd cover and I’m thinking about how I can put that to good use. Am I slightly mad?

I'm not really a reader but I'll be adding the book to my Halloween collection, for sure.

Maybe if you would do a little more reading in your life, you'd be able to appreciate Christopher Nolan's masterpieces.

Especially if the novelization includes deleted/extended scenes from the movie!

I am sure the ferry boat scene in The Dark Knight is just as ridiculous in written form as it is in the film.

I used to read movie novelizations all the time as a kid. My favorite was Burton's Batman. I read it over and over waiting for the VHS tape to be released.

I hope it includes the
[Show spoiler]Haddonfield Memorial Hospital
scenes that were shot. But not included in the film.

Hoping the movie opens up in 1978 right after the ending of the original and we see Michael walking away before the police finds him and captures him and then it fast forwards 30 years later to Michael being in the prison and those documentary crew people coming to him.

This way, all of the audience members can infer that this movie is taking place after the original and are ignoring the sequels. Because, the general audience walking into the theater to see this may be confused on where this film is taking place in the timeline of the series. Us hardcore fans may be the only ones that know that this film is ignoring the sequels.

I just think the movie needs to do something to make it obvious to the general audience where this film is taking place in the timeline and by opening up where the original left off, I think that could work.

From what I hear, from those who have been to the screenings, you're going to be disappointed. But i agree with you, in a way. I'm not a fan of making a scene that attempts to recreate 1978, but they should have at least opened the film with
[Show spoiler]the original 1978 ending

The way the new film actually opens up is just
[Show spoiler]the crew members talking to Michael at Smith's Grove

But most of all, what I want to see the most at the beginning of the film, is a classic pumpkin opening credits. I'm praying, we get one.

Starting with a shot of Myers may work against the film though as they may want to build up anticipation for when he hits Haddonfield.
