A digital code, by itself, gets its own steelbook! Tangible packaging for a non-tangible item- makes perfect sense. Only humans would design collectible packaging for non-physical items.

I'm not bothered by it, but it makes me and smh at the same time.
That's badass man. The card is rad af given it's a replica room key from the movie. I want one.

If Netflix subs want to test their streaming rates (not ISP rates) then search for Test Pattern (UHD) and the El Fuente series of clips. They will show several video and audio parameters including the bit rate. Make sure to start from the beginning if you want to see how long it takes to reach the max bit rate.

For me using the Test Pattern, it takes about 50 to 70 seconds during prime time for it to reach the full 16Mbps (shown as 16000Kbps). For Sony and LG BD players: time code, bit rate, etc. can be accessed anytime during any program by pressing the Info button.

Its been awhile but I could not find similar test files at VUDU or Amazon Video. If anyone has test file info for these providers then please post info here.

Data rates have been a concern for some of us for a long time. That will not change. Have a look here for some info on the Sony F65 camera. Look at the 16 bit Linear RAW, 23.98 fps, the data rate is 5.5 Gbps, that's 1TB (1000GB) in an hour. The Arri and Red cameras are probably similar for similar settings.

It is a real tribute to the compression engineers that streaming video is watchable at all and can be quite good considering the relative low data rates they have to work with.

Some I forgot: The Redray, was about $1450 and appeared it would not have much content so was never considered and the price was outrageous.

We are simply not fearful for the future, instead I think I can safely say we are all optimistic about it. You should try it; it's a nice outlook to have.

You have used humor and sarcasm in many of your replies to other forum members- it's always funny when you do it, right? You just don't like being on the receiving end. You love to dish it, but you have problems when it is your turn to be served in kind.

Criticizing behavior that you yourself exhibit is the very definition of hypocrisy.

It was a case of when in Rome. From the very start my posts were purely about the subject without the sarcasm, that is only a new thing after discovering that it’s par for the course in this thread.

The famous "mom, he started it!" defense? If you really think a behavior is bad, adopting it yourself with the justification that others do it, too, is faulty logic and it makes you as guilty as the very people you are now emulating. Two wrongs do not make a right; a famous saying that I am sure you have heard before.

Personal bad behavior can not be justified by simply saying others behave badly, too. And your use of humor and sarcasm goes back many months at the very least, so there is nothing "new" about your usage of these in your posts.

It’s the only language people understand in this thread. Almost every disagreement is steeped in sarcasm.

Wow; there's some cynicism right there.

People here understand polite and diplomatic language just as well and some of our forum members use it reliably; you are just continuing to justify your own hypocrisy, nothing more. When you are sarcastic, it is justified. When others use it, they are behaving badly.

If you think the use of sarcasm, a well established and respected cornerstone of comedy, is bad, then you should not use any, period. As you do, in fact, use it, then you should refrain from criticizing others for doing the same.

I am done with this topic. I like all forms of humor and I will continue my attempts at comedy when I wish. And before you get too comfortable atop that high horse you have seated yourself upon, realize that you will continue to use sarcasm as well.

The only problem with sarcasm is that if too many people embrace it car companies are going to stop making cars.

And then where will we be?

That’s why I’m glad the thread was moved as before it was just a witch hunt by several members against me in my opinion.

I’d personally want to die if I couldn’t be a sarcastic ass all the time. Just like Deadpool, it makes all the bad easier to deal with. Ha.

Just a victimized visionary, aren't you? Well on your way to martyrdom it seems. It is the price you must pay for lasting glory.

Insert Michael Jackson popcorn gif here.

I'm surprised steedeel didn't post about HBO removing adult movies as proof of his censored future.
