I like Rodgers but no. Maybe if you just started watching football in the last 10 - 12 years you may have a case but, again, no.

I doubt the Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio finds my list so amusing.

And there it is, Teddy Bridgewater to the Saints. NYJ get a 3rd round pick for a $550K short-term investment...BEAUTIFUL!

Impossible to compare since he has never had it, but I would to see Rodgers with a top tier play designer.

In a half-surprise, half-"saw it comin'" sorta spoiler, Bridgewater finishes the season for an injured Brees, while Rodgers sports his usual clipboard and civvies around the halfway-mark of the campaign.

Good for Rodgers, I don't have a lot of faith in the rest of that team though.

Bridgewater to the Saints is an odd one, he's good enough to start and would be a better fit elsewhere.

Not at all...they now have a proven young starter behind an aging Brees just in case. Smart move.

EDIT: After seeing the details, I would have to agree with you...they signed him to a 1-year deal like we did...sooooooooo, they gave up a 3rd for a guy who will be a FA AGAIN after next year? Odd indeed, I agree.

A straight up 3rd for sure, but apparently there's more to the deal that's not out there yet.

No reason to bring him back Week 3, unless Andrew Luck is a thing again. Might as well wait til Week 4 vs. Tennessee so he can get some action before Minnesota Week 5.

OK, so the NYJ got a 3rd and sent Bridgewater and a 6th to NO. That's a solid deal for both teams. Really liking this one. Now package that 3rd, whatever else and a boatload of money and go get Khalil Mack.

At some point Gruden is going to say “screw Mack” and trade him. You can tell this holdout is driving him up the wall.

If the Raiders weren't willing to pay Mack they should have traded him before the draft. Superstar players like Mack virtually always get extensions before the 5th year option so they had no know if they didn't sign him to a new deal then it was going to cause major problems. They could have gotten a huge haul for him in March or April.

Rams GM Les Snead confirmed an extension is "close" with holdout DT Aaron Donald.

The Rams have ramped up Donald talks with only a week left in the preseason. Donald's holdout forced him to sit out opening day last year. Assuming the sides hammer out a deal, he shouldn't miss regular season time. Donald's contract is going to make him one of the highest paid defenders in the league.
