Default Looking to upgrade TV and Home Theather...

My mother is looking to up her current Home Theather Setup. She's looking into an LCD but can't decide between 120hz and non 120hz, she watches some sports, but most just regular TV.

Now she is also looking at replacing her Home Theather setup which is made up of a very old receiver with 8 speakers and a sub hooked up to a 200 watt receiver. ( I know my brothers think they are cool...)

Anyways, I was looking at the current setup and wanted to know what you guys think, she is looking for the cheapest and best way to get the stuff.

Products:
Samsung LN46a630 or LN52a630 (no gloss, its a very bright room) Click Here or Here
Samsung LN46a550 or LN52a550 (has gloss. no 120hz) Click Here or Here
Panasonic Blu-ray HTIB 1250watt (RMS around 500) Click Here

Prices: ( I can get items at)
LN52a630 - $1700
LN46a630 - $1359.88
LN52a550 - $1500
LN45a550 - $1099
Blu-ray HTIB - $700

What do you guys think would be the best for the Money? Thanks in Advance!

(Updated prices.)

Old HTIB speakers plugged into a receiver... brothers thought it was cool.. worst idea of their lives..

She has the most basic setup, so I though HTIB was the easiest...

That and she doesn't like to buy online, only in store...

No blu-ray player, looking for the complete setup, trying to get TV and system below $2000...

She's replacing a 50" Rear projection RCA, POS... and a POS sound system... So the Samsung and HTIB is going to be like night and day for her..

Was looking at the 630 because there is no glare, The TV is setup with a window right behind it... (unless she decides later to put it on the fireplace..)

It's also the convenience of just being able to take it to the store, if something goes wrong.. plus 3 years no interest....

Doesn't mean someone can't suggest a different brand or item, I just posted what I was thinking about getting, and wanted to know how it fared, I already talked to her about the Stereo, and she's set on a HTIB...

My Onkyo 606 and 3 cheap sony speaker beats the day lights outta my old HTiB by far and I havent even had it cranked yet. If the window is behind the TV just turn the Light sensor.

Light sensor?

And the system that was debated over between the HTIB and Home Theather Setup would have been:

Polk RM-75's (all 5 speaker set)
Polk Sub 110 (10" sub)
Yamaha V663 (surround sound)
Sony 350 (blu-ray)

All of that was going to cost me around $800...

Hello everyone. I am interested in getting a home theater setup in my apartment but I don't know anything at all in regards to them.

Now I was following CES 2009 and I saw that Samsung annnounced a couple of diffferent sets. My main question is whether these "HTIB"s have a receiver in them.

I mean if I already plan on having a specific Bluray player is there a way to get a HT system without a bluray player included? And do most Home Theater systems come with their own specific receiver?

Also what do you guys think of these?

http://www.engadgethd.com/2009/01/07...ib-systems-ht/

Specifically I'm interested in the HT-BD1250 Blu-ray HTIB system. Although it's 5.1 and there are a few movies that have 7.1 audio. Can you really tell the difference between a 5.1 and 7.1 speaker system?
