Maybe that's an American thing? Here Halloween is for kids. Last time I dressed up for it I was 12.

Where abouts in Scotland are you from? Plenty of folk head into Glasgow city centre dressed up for a Halloween night out in the pubs/clubs. My pals have Halloween parties every year and we dress up.

I have to say, that is quite an impressive collection and I love the way you have it displayed. I know several people who would absolutely refuse to step foot in that room, especially at night.
Thanks! I can't wait to be in my new home, so I can finally set up all my goodies. By the way I watch Wind River, a few nights ago, wow what a great movie.

The original film is a classic of course but all of the sequels minus the third Halloween have been turds until Zombie's films. I don't expect this film to be as good as the original but I am hoping for the same quality of the two Zombie films.

Well half geek absolutely. nerd not so much.

You are a strange one in my opinion. Halloween is for kids? People have Halloween parties all the time now. They have done for years.

You then insult people who collect film memorabilia and seem to be on the wind up constantly. Pretty much like you were in the World cup thread. I think you are best avoided.

He is on the wind up imo. Must be bored. He certainly hasn’t discussed the actual film in the last few pages.

That's just how people in Glasgow dress.

Seriously.

Must just be me then. I always felt it was for kids.

Never really got adults dressing up.

I suppose if it's some kind of fancy dress party... but, eh, not for me.

Just having a bit of fun with people who take themselves (and their geek tendencies) too seriously.

Being a geek is fine... as long as you're aware of it.

It's not out for another five weeks (Oct 19th). Not much to say until I see it. I hope it's decent. The Halloween sequels are a mixed bag.

Looks like Hong Kong is the only territory smart enough to release it on Halloween.

It would be idiotic to release it on Halloween, the Halloween season is over on November 1st.

Agreed, well maybe not about the idiotic part, but October 19th is the perfect date for this release because you've got it playing during almost two weeks of the Halloween season and if people want to watch it on October 31, hey it's not even been playing two weeks so it should still be on a decent screen at your local multiplex.

For the last decade it has been unclear to all film makers this distinction.

Exactly. Blumhouse know what they're doing. Their track record speaks for itself.

Is Carpenter omitting Halloween 3 from the official count and adding the 2 Rob Zombie movies to the count, but then the Zombie movies weren't even sequels to the original movies. If Carpenter was counting everything then the new movie would be the 11th Halloween movie to exist. Minus the 2 Zombie movies the new Halloween movie would only be Halloween 9 alternate part 2 H40.
