I agree which is why I said it just got worse for Patricia as in his fault. And yes it's still considered stealing signals, they just didn't break any rules doing it.

Like imsounoriginal said though, it's not cheating if you're able to diagnose your opponent's plays without swiping their calls. Some play-callers (like Garrett and Linehan) are just too predictable.

NFL.com's Mike Garofolo reports Lions veterans were "griping" about new coach Matt Patricia during training camp.

Specifically, the "number of rules put in place" and "how hard he worked them" during the summer. The Lions, of course, got blown out of the building in Patricia's debut on Monday. It will be a dynamic to watch as the season unfolds. Ex-Bill Belichick assistants have a way of flying too close to the sun trying to implement his ways elsewhere.

Actually it's worse then that, you gave a 7th round pick to get him assumed a 4 million dollar hit on your cap, cut him in preseason then have now resigned him.

Chucky should of stayed in the booth.

You know that and I know that but the Raiders wanted him back anyway. Guess they forgot the rule about coaches who take extended breaks from the NFL and come back.

I think you're confusing Bryant with Corey Coleman's trade to the Bills. The Bills gave up a 2020 7th round pick and assumed Coleman's guaranteed salaries of $1.5 million in 2018 and $2 million in 2019, although I assume his contract has offset language so anything he makes in either year (he's currently on a minimum salary deal with the Patriots) will be subtracted from his Bills cap hit.

The Raiders gave up even more for Bryant, as they gave up their 2018 3rd round pick (#79 overall). However, none of Bryant's salary was guaranteed so they didn't take any cap hit when they cut him.
