These are some of my favorite CGI animated movies, but as with all the recent animated catalog releases accompanying new entries in the series, I'll wait for a cheap combo/trilogy pack before upgrading. The BDs still look great.

I remember this being one of the last animated movies I truly loved, but I never bought it. Might pick this up on the cheap.

If these get a UK release, I'll probably pick them up with the third film. Just revisited these so not in a rush to see them again. Blu Rays of both films look absolutely stonking on my set though so I'm having a tough time imagining there'll be that much of a noticeable upgrade.

I'll double dip on this one, although I'll probably wait for a trilogy box set as I never picked up 2.

Does Universal now hold distribution rights for all three films?

Yes, they have all DreamWorks Animation now, they re-released all of the existing BD titles with the faceplate and basic color background recently and are releasing Antz and The Prince of Egypt for the first time.

I figured these would come out soon with the new one coming out in 6 months. Though sadly I'm expecting HTTYD 4Ks to probably have the same lame artwork as the re-releases.

Man, I hope not. Perfect opportunity to finally use the moon poster for the cover.

unfortunately with the recent reissues of 'Captain Underpants' and 'Trolls' they couldn't or wouldn't release the 3D blurays - what a lost opportunity to some of us who are keeping that form of physical media barely alive and breathing.

The first HTTYD is definitely worth picking up. Better than some more recent Disney and PIXAR animated titles.

They are both incredible. The animation is top notch, the voice acting is incredible, and the score is one of my favorites.

My absolute favorite animated films outside of the Disney umbrella. Possibly even one of my favorites all together. It's close to the Incredibles 1 & 2, for me. I cannot wait for the 3rd movie next year.

Assuming HTTYD2 is released on UHD as well, I hope Universal beefs up the audio (beyond just the immersive DTS:X remix). The low end was noticeably lacking compared to the first one. They did it with The Fast and the Furious, so I'm holding out hope

I thought the audio specs for HTTYD2 were already announced and keeping to the original Dolby Atmos mix.

I didn't see anything official, either in this thread or in the HTTYD2 thread which I just found.
