While I'm keeping my expectations in check, I'm pretty confident this film will be much better than the dysentery that Rob Zombie shit out. Hell, I'm thankful we are getting another film in the series considering Zombie tried to kill the franchise with his white trash take on Michael Myers. So congrats Rob, you managed to follow up the bad Resurrection with your terrible remake and an even shittier sequel... that's quite an accomplishment.

I guess technically you can argue it's the 7th or 8th sequel. Hard to claim Zombie's films as sequels.

Yeah it would be different if it were a mostly dead month but when you have two openers the first weekend of October that could combine for 100 Million alone it wouldn't be a smart move to release Halloween then. They'd all eat into each other.

Then the following weekend you'll still have those going strong and also First Man opening which will do 20-30 Million.

But the 19th it will rule big time.

There is actually. For sure the entire month of October but honestly it has already started for many. People get in the mood for horror films and the holiday.

It's a season in the states, it would appear.

I suppose it's become the norm to treat the weekend closest to Halloween as if it was Halloween over here. Ever since it became a thing for all ages, rather than mainly just for the weans.

It would do huge on Halloween night and then drop the next day, that would be dumb. 2 weeks before Halloween is perfect.

For sure. I love the fall/Halloween season and embrace it a ton, so try to stretch it out as long as as I can. Disney starts their Not-So-Scary Halloween party in August.

Christmas isnt a season. Winter is. Christmas is only one day. But people decorate and shop for it all December. So it feels like Christmas is a season. You know this.

People/Radio Stations do start playing Christmas songs after Thanksgiving in America. Once it hits October, People do tend to start celebrating by watching horror movies all month long.

I used to work at Macy’s and it was closing on Halloween when Christmas songs started being added to the rotation.
