Tempted to pick up Darnold in case Rodgers doesn't play this weekend (even if he does, he's up against the Vikings D), and my backup is Matty Tepid Water. But the Dolphins D was surprisingly stout last weekend, and while the Jets offense looked nice, I still attribute some of that to the Lions D just not being very good.

The NYJ defense is pretty good, but I wouldn't expect the same from them this week...that was the best I've seen them play under Bowles (that I can remember anyway) and maybe even since like Rex was here.

I'm expecting very few or negative points from Jacksonville this week. Fully expect Brady, Gronk, White and Burkhead to take them to school. They almost lost to the G-Strings, the Patriots offense is in a whole other class.

Time for Jalen Ramsey to put up or shut up. Hoping for a good game and a Jags win.

He’s setting himself up to get a wicked crackback block at some point this season.

Pass interference, offense, 10 yard penalty, replay the down.

He can't do this by the time the playoffs here because his team is always injured and I don't know what rock you've been hiding under but his Super Bowl victory against the Steelers he played great.

Holy shit, that's one smoking hot take. I'm new to this thread, but are you new to watching the NFL? Or the Packers in particular?

Well here they are

After winning the NFC championship game, the Packers earned a trip to Super Bowl XLV—a game in which they won, 31–25, against the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the game, Rodgers completed 24 of 39 pass attempts for 304 yards and three touchdowns in the win, and was named Super Bowl MVP for his performance.

Imagine if Rodgers had even just one of...
  • the coaching staff around Brady (and a Moss or Gronk or Welker or...)
  • the defense around Wilson / early-mid Roethlisberger / early-mid Brady
  • the skilled position players around Matt Ryan
  • the offensive line in front of Prescott (granted, the Packers' O line has been better in recent years)

The only QB who has had to do more with less is Drew Brees.

I could be mistaken but he does have a ring and 2 MVP’s?
But I digress, you wouldn’t want him in Dallas?

He's the best player ever, but he can't even reach a second super bowl 🤔

See twobelow's post two up from yours which is a perfect summation of Rodgers inability to get back to the Super Bowl. The Packers are always cursed with season crippling injuries, subpar defense, lack of a consistent running game and/or receiving corp, yet he always has his team in the playoff hunt, in the conversation for contention, because of what a great QB he is. Not the all time greatest ever like one person in the thread claimed a week or two ago but certainly as far as current QBs', it's probably him and Brady.

Had his dumbass special teams not let him down against Seattle in the NFC title game, he'd have made that Super Bowl. And IIRC that ended up being the "Malcolm Butler interception" Super Bowl, right? So maybe the Seahawks wouldn't have fractured into what they are now. So many coulda/woulda/shouldas.

With his current playoff record he will never be the greatest ever. Needs to win at least one more.

He will never be the greatest ever even with another Superbowl win that title is on Brady followed by Montana

Purely in terms of talent I really do think Rodgers might be GOAT. But obviously Brady will always have the jewelry.
