I'm always excited when Ted Levine shows up in a movie but he couldn't save this one from itself.

He was terrible in this. I can't blame the actor so much as he had nothing to work with. They spent about 9 seconds writing his "character".

Yep, nothing against Ted as he's awesome sauce, he was just given an utterly thankless role which was telegraphed from the get go by, y'know, them casting Buffalo Bill.

Quick, you'd better post another youtube video explaining how "deep" it is.

Such a disappointing movie. I wish Trevorrow directed it. I mean honestly,
[Show spoiler]the dinosaurs were in the basement of a mansion? Get outta here!

I greatly enjoyed Jurassic Park & Jurassic World. They are the only ones worth watching.

4K disc was aces. No surprise there.

Trevorrow was the reason this movie was bad. Him directing it, would've made it worse.

Yeah, Colin is a pretty piss poor filmmaker. Glad he got fired off of episode 9.

Just finished watching it.

No better or worse than the first Jurassic World.

I really loved the stormy/gothic visual style that Bayona is known for. Really makes me want 'A Monster Calls' on UHD.

The first half of the film is definitely better than the second half. But considering how much suspension of disbelief was required for Jurassic World in the first place, I'm not at all bothered by how bat shit crazy this series is becoming. Hopefully the third film will be the last one. Not much you can milk out of a series revolving around continually reviving dinosaurs for amusement park purposes.

Also...

"They're alive... like me."

Hollywood screenwriters are becoming increasingly dumber.

Slipbox looks great in person. Mine has a few dings but I guess I'll live with it. Case itself comes with the standard art unfortunately.

Damn I wish Blue had actually fired a machine gun in this movie. That would've actually made it worthwhile.

I will say this, though...

[Show spoiler]the shot of the Brachiosaurus succumbing to death on the island, was utterly heartbreaking. If not for nostalgic reasons alone.

As terrible as the script was, Bayona at least directed the shit out of it from a visual perspective. He deserved so much better.

Really depends on your expectations and tolerance for stupid trash. I actually consider it more entertaining and prettier to look at than the first JW but people who hate it seem to really hate it.
