So Michael B Jordan is set to play the iconic John Clark in two movies based on the Tom Clancy Books Without Remorse and Rainbow Six

Hopefully this discussion doesn't simply turn into Clark isn't black, Michael B Jordan seems like a great person to take on this role. This books are great and I am happy to finally see John Clark get the leading role in a movie rather than play back seat to to Jack Ryan.

A John Clark series sounds good, a Michael B. Jordan franchise sounds good, I just dunno if the two of them together sound good.

More feasible as a vehicle for Jordan playing Clark than Ryan. As much as Harrison Ford managed to do with Ryan, Clark gives Jordan a much more interesting and dark character to have fun with playing.

Because Jack Ryan isn't a very interesting character. He's always virtuous and he's always right. Clark deals in shades of grey, so he's inherently more interesting. Curious to see what Jordan brings to it, I guess we already got a taste of him playing black ops as Killmonger.

My thoughts exactly right now... I mean Ryan can be seen as a boy scout at times... which is perfect for Krazinski. And with Clark being a bit more brutal, having an intense Jordan works great. I like it.

Didn't even think about that.. I mean minus the full on revenge, the military aspect of the character is spot on.

Maybe this time a John Clark movie will finally get off the ground.

The original attempt at Without Remorse was going to star Gary Sinise at the height of his popularity but then the studio went kaput. Most recently they wanted Tom Hardy to play the role in his own "Shadow Recruit" movie with Kevin Costner.

I hope the first movie will be a Success, because I really want to see Rainbow Six, the novel was awesome.

I am also okay with Michael B. Jordon. i liked all his stuff since Friday Night lights

No, they will cast Jack Ryan in the sequel with a new actor/actress and possibly a standalone movie.

Not to mention Liev Schreiber. Clark is still involved in direct action well into his sixties in the books, so Dafoe could conceivably still play the part even now.
