Agreed. In fact, Wonderland, The Salton Sea, and Spartan are my top #3 favorite Kilmer films. All were excellent.

Yes - that aspect made the film especially interesting. While JH made himself out to be an almost innocent victim, the David L. character (played by Dylan McDermott) painted a completely different picture of JH.
