That's totally fine by me, and he compared it to the JP disc to make sure it looks right. Plus, timing is the same as the JP BD. I might pick it up, so when I do, maybe you could send me some subs?

Stats from the first episode on the list in the spoiler. The disc totals under 35 GB. Why the hell wouldn't they use the extra 10 GB?

Is it just Japanese audio? Or is there French subs as well?

If yes to the latter, it’s the French encoding branch- who isn’t the best.

Yeah. Dumb move on their part.

They didn’t even have to use the 10 GB more. Even 5 or 6 extra could improve things in a big way.

Tremendously bigly.

But they very likely just encode the way FUNi does (or did, until very recently); same settings for every show, no matter the disc size or episode count.

If Al has a license in France and UK they use france to author its why I don't own Lupin IV, its obviously to save money like it made me laugh that the subs default to French when at MCM AL basically said it was the UK Fans who got the license back. Sound I only want to finally own for my KyoAni collection and S2 (Which I vastly prefer) has been screwed by PonyCan I do wonder what the PQ on that is like.

Justin Sevakis didn't do S2, so it's probably not that good. And the packaging is pathetic.

I was tempted that's how much I love S2 and not A3 packaging I was glad, then someone unboxed it yeah ill stick to AoA and AL for better packaging I just hope AL get S2 and the films.

Does anyone have the Tale of Zestiria box from Funimation? and if possible can post mediainfo or screengrabs, I can't find anything on the net.
I got the french edition and I would like to compare to the US edition, the french edition cramed 26 episodes + the oav (44 min) on 3 BD, so I'am a little woried, I know Funimation encoded the entire show on 4 BD.

The FUNimation version doesn’t have the OVA (it’s actially this spelling), but it has the 26 Episodes on 4 BD-50s. One of the rare cases with 2 dual layer discs per set.

I have first disc from PonyCanyon (they sent me replacement disc by mistake ). First disc with 5 episodes: 31,5GB (5,8GB per episode)

I only took screenshots of the first few minutes of OVA #1. Didn't want to spoiler myself. Screenshots were captured with DGAVCIndex and then converted to .png format image.

Doesn't look bad, though I'm not sure if that's film grain I'm seeing or CRT scanner noise.

Anybody knows something about US/UK edition of A Certain Magical Index (S1, S2)? It's the same encode or one of them looks better? I thinking about BD release, of course.
