I was there and IMO, the LG and the two Sony's were very, very close. I wouldn't worry too much about the fractional point differences. Each set did better on some tests and were worse on others. The Samsung completely failed on that nighttime, completely desaturated Harry Potter scene. The picture kept disappearing. The LG did tend to be slightly green on some tests (even some white titles went green), which is why I think the Sony came out ahead, but on much real world movie video, the LG and two Sony's looked incredibly alike. As one of the speakers pointed out before the tests, if the sets had been in different rooms and one was running back and forth between them, you probably wouldn't have been able to detect much of a difference. That wouldn't have been true even two years ago. (After calibration).

One note: IMO, all of the sets did a really lousy job upscaling the football feed. I thought that looked incredibly horrible, far worse than on my 7-year-old Sony HX929. Of course we were sitting really close, much closer than in a typical living room and I don't know if there was an issue with the source feed.

Robert should be congratulated for having this event. When you're there you begin to realize just how much work goes into putting it together each year. Quite remarkable for a single, independent dealership and it's why, IMO, his store deserves a lot of support, especially if you're in the area.
