I bought another Panasonic 820 Ultra HD and for some reason I cannot play any Dolby Vision discs?! And its also having trouble loading regular 4K Discs. The first 820 I bought plays them brilliantly and with no fuss, what do you think the problem could be?

Thanks in advance.

Does it have the latest firmware? Have you tried a hard reset?

It does have the latest firmware and I tried to do a hard reset by pressing the OK, blue and yellow buttons but when the messages on the display come on, they skip 08 FIN?

EDIT

Sorry I had it on instead of standby mode

Did a hard reset and the problem is still there.

Default Netflix Lip Sync Issue

Just got my 820 a few days. I tried watching Netflix ("Maniac") and found that the audio lagged behind slightly. Can't correct this at the a/v amp as it can only delay audio, not advance it.

I tried streaming the same title using Apple TV and lip-sync is fine so I suspect it's an issue with 820's Netflix app? Anyone ran into this and is there a solution for it?

The 820 has the latest firmware and I'm using it with Yamaha RX-A3080 and Sony VW-260ES.

Thanks.

UB9000 now available to order from Panasonic, website also saying stock available - £803.99 so currently lower than the retailers.

Ordered from Richer Sounds with the Planet Earth/Blue Planet 4K bluray for £793.99 after they price matched Panasonics Price.

Sales agent on phone confirmed they have them instock and ready to go.

Best Buy has been selling the 820, but the 9000 may be more of a Magnolia class item. If you have a store you deal with, they can hook you up with the closest Magnolia. It may take a while to get to other retailers after VE gets their initial shipment. I understand your situation, this is how I bought my Oppo 203 18 months ago thru a Magnolia and used my Rewards points from buying my Sony tv.

I have never seen a firmware with this much info before:

Network service compatibility
Playability of Blu-ray Disc™

Playability of blu ray disc? Can these machines play both Blu-Ray and DVD already?

It plays Blu-ray and Dvds beautifully. It probably needs a firmware update for the ever changing aacs encryption keys used on new blu-rays.

Thanks Robert

I love the idea of being able to tell alexa to pause movie and not use the remote.

These new firmware finally solved the problem with 20th century fox blu-rays when the analog audio output is used... (didn't play until now, asking for firmware update...)

Hi, I will use the analog audio output 7.1 as my receiver does not support HDMI. Question: Does the analog output supports decoded Dolby True HD and DTS HD Master or is it limited to Dolby Digital and DTS?
