Hmmm.......maybe, just maybe, the first Quad iMac?? You know, an iMac with Intel Core 2 Quad?? Maybe?? Ummm...probably not. Probably wouldn't be financially lucrative for Apple. But, wishful thinking never hurts!!!!

The cheap macintosh compuer is NOT suppose to be the iMac. The iMac is suppose to be the EASY computer The one that has everything in it and you don't need anythin else to add on, not that it won't work with add-ons cause it does.

But APPLE is a spporter of Blu-ray, so you can expect to see the upper-end models sporting the new BDplayers/burners most likely bundled with a DVD/CD bruner. I can't say they are goig to release that right now, but the timing seems about right.
Perhaps the new iMac will have it, but I suspect that the new Tower will have it regardless.

I hope that they do get a good priced BD burner in their computers cause I am waiting to upgrade my system until APPLE finished 2 things.... BD players, ad the new Mac OS 10.5.

Macs are for noobs. It's OS is just too limited, I am a control freak, and apple is n00b as can be. Upgrading a MAC is not feasable, unless you count memory and HDD upgrading, like I said noob stuff.

For get GPU, Processor and other expansion cards. Mac used as is, and requires you buy a completely new system when it gets old. This can be up to 2,000 bucks.

It will only take me $450 to upgrade my PC to elite status every 2 years. but I don't see why when PS3 can do all HD i need.

Though it's true that MACs can run better than Windows, because the simple fact that MAC OS 10 and above is based on UNIX Kernel.

Linux is the ultimate in OS for IT elites like me. No annoying windows crap.
And you can config everything from command line.
