Please don’t be Mandalorians. I’ve been wanting a live action Star Wars series for decades, but the Mandalorians just never interest me. I’d rather see a show about random average person than Mandalotians.

Does Disney have something against great lightsaber battles in live action Star Wars content? We are 4 movies in and have yet to get a great lightsaber battle. The live show is highly unlikely to have a lightsaber battle between 2 force users.

Directors revealed for some episodes....

Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars: The Clone Wars mastermind Dave Filoni is directing the first episode of the series, and he'll be followed by Taika Waititi of Thor: Ragnarok fame. Bryce Dallas Howard continues to follow in the footstep of her father by joining the Star Wars galaxy, as she'll also be directing an episode.

Other directors include Deborah Chow, who helmed episodes of Jessica Jones, and Rick Famuyiwa, who directed the critically acclaimed Dope and was at one point going to direct The Flash movie for DC Comics and Warner Bros.

Holy moly I'm excited about this. I feel like that Kristen Wiig SNL character that starts falling backwards through walls 'cuz she can hardly contain her outrageous excitement.

While I've thoroughly enjoyed all the cartoon series, this could very well be the first non-feature STAR WARS product that I consider part of my personal "canon" when I watch the Saga. And timeline-wise, this could be the PERFECT bridge between the original trilogy and sequel trilogy, like SOLO and ROGUE ONE bridge the prequels and the originals.

Have I mentioned I'm excited??? I may even use this obnoxious emoji:

I hear ya. I always loved Boba Fett, Jango Fett, and the Mandalorians. Having an all new character as a lone Mandalorian gunman set between Return of the Jedi and A Force Awakens sounds awesome. With Pedro Pascal as the lead, and that list of directors, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Taika Waititi, Deborah Chow, Rick Famuyiwa, and Bryce Dallas Howard, this sounds way too interesting to ignore. I'm excited by the potential and just the look of the character. I've been disillusioned by most of the recent films, but this series could very well be the Star Wars project I've needed all along and didn't even know it.
