Thumbs up Any Fans of the Show "How it's Made"

found no thread on this.

just wondering if anyone here is a fan of this cool show on: Science Channel & Discovery Channel.

How it's Made is a show about how many of the things we use daily are made.

I liked the one's they did about: Music CD's and LP Records, Tv Sets to name a few.

It would be cool if they showed one about how Blu-Ray's are made, but I would guess it would be almost the same as a DVD.

And did they ever do one about how "Toothpaste" was made?

I also like the show "Deconstructed" How it Works.

I like the content of the show but find the narrator or host really dull and he puts me to sleep, maybe its just me though

The show def. has a sleep aid element to it. It sorta depends on what they're showing. Surfed into it a while back and they were doing tampons. I kept going.

Yeah, I enjoy the show when I come apon it.
It's interesting seeing behind the scenes.

I watch it on Z Tele in HD (it's a french scifi/tech TV channel here in Montreal) so I don't know what the voice of the animator in English is. I love it, I find it quite interesting to see how these everyday things are made.

There are different narrators sometimes and different regions have different narrators too. I think there are like 3 different English language narrators. None that I've heard bother me at all, and actually, I find the voice to be rather charming for what it is.

Personally, I really like the show, but not being able to see it in HD, combined with the fact that I hardly ever watch actual TV anymore, means that I haven't seen it in months.

If you think it's boring or something, it's just not your cup of tea is all. It's terribly interesting, even when they cover topics which I wouldn't expect I'd be interested in at all. I recall one time they were making wooden chairs and they went into a lot of detail of how they treated the wood and it was really interesting.

I love this show. I like the original narrator more than the newer one though. This show answers alot of questions and show how complex some things are to be made. It also shows how much production has been automated in the US and other places.

Great show.

I stumbled upon this show once when they were showing how CDs were made. I never really knew, so I found it pretty neat.

A pretty informitive show, I did like the one about how hams are packaged for mass production. You guys are right though, the narrator is a hellova sleep aid! Great show nonetheless.

I don't look out for it, but if I come across it, I will watch it. I always like those types of shows on how it gets to the final product.
