Hi 13,

Thanks for the gloomy possibility.

I wish it was not so, but I would definitely recommend going to see this theatrically if you want to see it in 3D - the sad fact is that Disney won't release this on 3D Blu-ray anywhere if it doesn't do well enough on initial release.

Not even overseas though? I thought most of Disneys stuff was released in 3D, just not here in the USA.

Most, not all.

Pete's Dragon
Wrinkle In Time

I thought there was at least one more big Disney release that skipped 3D due to Box Office issues, but I can't find it.

Just got back from watching this . Had to see it at cineworld as my local cinema wasnt showing it in 3d . Great visuals and very good 3d in this and the owl scene was very good. . But did notice a lot of ghosting going on which was distracting . how come they cant over come this ?

I also noticed a bit of ghosting at my theater. I'm becoming increasingly unwilling to accept the explanation that it's the displays fault.

Get a 3D headset, where the left and right screen show separate L and R images. No ghosting!
It has to be the display's fault.

I think that's it. The Finest Hours and the BFG weren't released in every country Internationally but they did get releases (BFG is also not region free in all countries, unlike most Disney releases).

Thumbs down

The Nutcrapper reminded me of another recent Disney movie that had
solid 3-D, effects and was boring as f**k.

There are a few Disney's that only had limited countries -- Finest Hours and Planes 2 come to mind.

BFG isn't really a Disney film though Disney has distribution rights some countries (mainly North America). Need for Speed also falls into that boat.
