That remains to be seen and aside from some comments on podcasts, we'll never know any actual numbers. If things go back to normal eventually, though, we'll certainly know that not enough people were willing to pay it.

Not certainly...who knows, certainly not anyone on this thread. There be factors we are not aware of. Believe it or not the people in this forum dont know everything. Whatever happens happens.

For these higher prices, and I hate to break it down to something so frivolous, but I really think we as collector's should get freebies. I.e., the infamous lithographs, and other goodies should be tossed in with every purchase to entice us to continue paying these ridiculous prices.

Or else this will only hasten the end of physical media save for those niche collector's.

Maybe from now on all Collectors Editions should always come with Slipcovers and not be just guaranteed for the first 3 months of release.

Just snagged The Unborn, Brainscan, and Brain Dead from Hamilton books for around $19.25 shipped each. My sweet spot is/was $15 - $17 for these films but given the current circumstances I felt that the $19 prices were fair as I didn't want to wait for a price cut and risk losing out as most other retailers are charging between $22 and $25 for these films. Folks interested should take advantage while they are available.

(Normally I wouldn't post about deals out of fear that Shout Factory would shut the retailer out of future stock, but given these deals/titles were recently negotiated I would imagine we're safe. )

They used that as a way to promote ordering at full price once it comes out instead of waiting beyond the 3 months for a sale.

Although that would be nice.

As much as i've been ragging on Shout! Factory lately, i'll give credit where its due.

Their 4K restoration of Halloween III is fantastic and it's great they ported the Limited Complete Collection set bonus disc features for it onto this release.

So I see people are getting Night of the Demons from Diabolik already. How is it that Scream Factory can get all their stuff to suppliers quickly but not to the people who ordered direct from them.

Last week a ton of us got our shipping notification for the Creepshow package. Mine is still stuck on “label created”

Is that the same for everyone or has yours actually gone out? (Litho and poster packs)

I have no shipping info on Night of the Demons, and I got a shipping confirmation from Shout for Creepshow last week, which still has no movement. I'm done ordering directly from SF.

Even though Scream Factory’s business practices lately are anti-consumer, I still like them because of their quality products. If it were not for them a lot of films might still not be out on blu-ray yet, let alone having new special features. They are definitely a better company in my opinion than companies like Facebook, Monsanto, or any of the big insurance companies.

I don't know what makes them think they can charge $35 for a new release. Arrow's prices aren't even that high and they do a better job on encoding/compression.
Not cheerleading for them but I gotta say that many Blu-ray titles on their site are actually priced within a normal range ($22.99-24.99). The shipping is what kills it. The poster bundles are obviously more expensive and when you factor in their astronomical $6.99 shipping fees it feels like being ripped off. I'm as unhappy about this as everybody else and I no longer look forward to their announcements like I used to.

They sent me an email with a tracking number last week stating that the package should be delivered on or before Tuesday the 23rd, however according to USPS tracking it's been in "Label Created" since last Tuesday. However, with 'Trick'r'Treat' the status stayed 'Label Created' until the day it was delivered it went directly from 'label created' to 'out to delivery" so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt today...

Not just from SF, but from several companies, I have had this happen from time to time. Not sure if it's just an error with the tracking system, or what, but it does happen. Fingers crossed.

My order from the 9th is still in processing. Guess I won't be watching any of this for Halloween!

Yeah, not looking like I'll get Night Of The Demons before Halloween...

The new SF.... higher prices, shittier service.
