Can't wait for the Scream cheerleaders to tell me how I shouldn't be an unhappy customer....
Do scratches in the center hub make the disc not work? The laser doesn't read anything in that spot.

Shout fans: If SF wants to raise prices and push sales to their site that's their perogative and totally reasonable, they make collectors items for an increasingly niche market.

Also Shout fans: scratches on the disk aren't a big deal.

I still cannot fathom how people can say it's not a big deal when you purchase something brand-new and receive a damaged product. It doesn't matter if the scratches effect the disc play back or not, it matters that they are there and it shows that the disc was put under some kind of stress to cause them. Ergo, it's no longer brand new and thus not was the customer purchased...

Buy a new car with a scratch on the seats or bumper. None of these areas are essential for the operation of the vehicle. See how fast it goes back to the dealer.

They'll fix it though. They did after they scratched my bumper unloading from the truck.

Cars aren't $30 blu-ray discs.

I'd wager some members blu-ray collections are worth more than their cars.

Are people really paying $30 for Trick R Treat? I actually laughed out loud when I saw the 'top deal' banner on this site. I love the movie, but no way I'm paying that much when there's already a great version out at dump bin prices.

When it comes to how awesome this Creepshow Blu is put together (had no idea it came with a book and had a real nice packaging), I feel that’s worth $30. It’s not like most of these Blus are the only ones available, they have a barebones release of Creepshow if that’s too much. I’m hoping the Candyman release is put together this well as well.

I grabbed Return of the Living Dead for $6 today. It would be cool to get the Scream Factory version of it but I’m not spending more than $10 on it.

I think if Scream puts as much effort into their products as they did with Creepshow, they deserve the money.

I just finished watching Creepshow and I was extremely impressed with the image quality. It’s definitely the best Shout Factory disc I’ve seen in a very long time and a large improvement over the previous Bluray editions, all in a beautiful, “premium” package with a tremendous amount of new supplements.

Now, how they think they can charge virtually the same ~$30 price for something like their recent release of Get Shorty is beyond me.

Ditto. They put the charge on my card on Monday...and it has since gone away. And still no communication to let us know if it’s delayed at all or by how much.

Criterion might do it.

I got my Creepshow and Trick blu-rays 2 weeks ago and MY GOD the new transfers are fantastic and superb extras too, Creepshow is THE horror blu-ray of the year. I also got my House on Haunted Hill blu-ray and it looks superb and has nice extras too.

Those Critters blu-rays with the extras, new scans and deleted scenes of Critters 2 sound nice just like i wished. Those Urban Legend extras sound worthwhile for a 2 disc set and i can't wait to see the new restoration of Candyman with the uncut version which i always wanted to see.

Cobra CE? FINALLY! 8mm? ABOUT TIME! Plague of the Zombies? sweet! thank you very much SF.
