If a person is born deaf, then they learn sign language to communicate. However, having never heard language or any other sound, I wonder what happens in their mind when they open a book and look at a page full of words. How can one read without an internal dialogue? I mean, can a deaf person just look at word combinations and know what it means the same way most all people recognize the message a string of emojis is trying to suggest? If anyone has deaf friends, can you ask them these questions for me?

I went to grade school with a deaf girl. She was deaf since birth and she learned to read basically the same way as hearing people. She also had specialized teachers to help her to learn to read lips and to talk, too. She taught me some sign language and she said the hardest thing was trying to get people to look at her when they talked. She wrote a lot of short stories about her favorite shows from what I remember. So, yes, she had an internal dialogue already. We were in sixth grade.

well a little known fact that I am deaf both ears ,the left i'm completely deaf right is moderate deaf i say 90 percent

when I was growing up in school I used to sit front desk in my classes and read lips

yes I did also do signed language when I was elementary school

in 3rd grade did signed language and did a troops program<-patriot songs at school and a Christmas program besides at the mall which is now a dump

even the troops came down after desert storm come to mall hear us and feed them pizza i recall i used to have a paper that had all the signature of the soldiers<-got lost of the years meh

i always remember wearing those stupid big hearing aids around my ears putting tape on it and i hated taking them off because when i get hot like running tape stick to hair when taking them off ear meh

umm i did have a big cryst in my left ear in junior high had to go into surgey doctor said hey i will drill that boney plate out and you can hear in left ear

needless to say doctor couldn't do it too deep basically he made the hole bigger after getting the cryst out yes my parents should sued him but didn't think about it at the time

anyways these days i don't wear a hearing aid left ear i only wear 1 right ear its one of those put in ear when battery dies sound comes on

however i don't wear it at home only when go out and say in a movie sitting next to me have to sit right side because if you sit on left i will not hear what somebody trying to say to me

so in a nutshell i was learned to read lips and talk despite being deaf i do know still remember some signed language but not all

Almost every day, I see the same car parked at an angle in a straight space, kind of like this.



If that was the far left space, that is how he parks, and if it's the far right space, he'd be angled to the right. He's not intruding on the space next to him though, so anyone can park beside him no problem.

He's obviously parking this way on purpose to do it day after day, but why?

Later today, I'm gonna pick up my Pop and we're going to get steaks for tomorrow. Something I've wondered about is, why are steaks cheaper here where I live, over the province where they come from? Generally, the steaks I get average about $19 or so. But the same size steak in Alberta, where these are actually from, are $20-21. I've noticed this for about the last 3 or 4 years.
It's weird that a AAA Steak is cheaper here in The North than the Province where this beef is from.

Is anyone else annoyed that there is no Inhumans movie?

When the MCU was first planned out and announced a decade ago, Inhumans was scheduled as a "Phase 3" movie, and there were no Ant-Man or Guardians sequel. But due to the popularity of both movies, sequels were produced and Phase 3 was shuffled around so the stories would fit within the MCU timeline. By doing so, Inhumans was turned into a failed TV show that no one watched, rather than a movie.

Do you think Marvel should have kept it as a planned movie, instead of turning it into a TV show?
