I don't believe it's because of legal weed but they are for sure using it as leverage and the timing is curious too, right before the xmas shipping rush, hopefully it's resolved soon. Poor Night of the Creeps (UK) and Deadbeat at Dawn (US) shipments are still in the ether

I'm also on the West Coast side!! I've been waiting for my copy of Creepshow from Amazon and my copy of The Incubus that I ordered direct from Vinegar Syndrome which also was supposedly delivered on Monday!!!

Seventh Sign is finally under $24 at Amazon. Still higher than it should be but it's way better than $28. Now waiting for Brain Dead to drop.

I don't know, it's kind of interesting how things are playing out. Recently it had been the Collector's Editions that would get down to a $19.99 price point pretty quickly and even $14.99 a few months down the road.

The non-collector's editions would hold steady at a price at, near, or around the $20 mark.

Now, it seems like the non-collector's editions are staying somewhat consistent (from retailers other than Scream and Amazon) but now the mindset from the consumer is "hey, that's $17.99 to $19.99.. that's a great price and I'm in!" but...
the Collector's Editions are not budging in the slightest bit (at least so far) and $29.99 or higher is the new normal...
and that to me is ironic-- most Collector's Editions as of late are double dips-- you would think they would give a lower price as incentive to buy a movie again...

Another reason Shout's prices are high, is due to the Halloween Season. They know that they have some people by the balls, with the new Horror releases. I want some of these new and upcoming releases, as much as a lot of other people but, I can wait until the Halloween Season is long over, and prices drop eventually.

yeah, I don't mind waiting either especially for double dips.

I could be dead wrong (and things currently are obviously different), but my guess is that eventually these titles will come back down to the price most people here are accustomed to....

That would be good. There are 6 titles that I want, and I am ready to buy immediately, money in hand...once the prices come back down.
