Maybe several random attacks on Halloween night by wannabe Myers or maybe murderers in their own right and the threat finally under control until the real deal turns up for the last 30 mins. Could be good if it’s used correctly. It could be absolutely manic on Halloween night.

I don't think that would go over well at all. I could see that playing out like H3 did back in the day, with alot of angry fans asking for Michael.

Michael would still be there though. Like I say, he would show up for the last 30 minutes.

Blumhouse does have a film releasing in October 16th, 2020. I think this sequel will take that spot.

Shit, if that were me, I'd get the f*ck out of town and move somewhere else. You'd think the residents would learn by now that it ain't safe haha.
But in this new Halloween Universe, this is only the 2nd time he came back...after 40 years.

I immediately lose any interest in a Halloween film that doesn't have the real Michael Myers as the killer for the ENTIRE movie (which is why I still haven't seen Halloween III). I don't want to see any movie that has the plot of people dressing up as Michael and becoming copycat killers or the real Michael only appearing in the finale of the movie. That stuff only works for the Scream movies where there's a new killer with every new movie.

I pay money to see the real OG, Michael Myers, kill people... not someone pretending to be him.

If watch Season of the Witch as it's own stand alone film, you'll like it.

It's an experimental film at attempting to turn Halloween into an anthology series. It didn't work with the fans. So they went back to Michael Meyers.

Season of the Witch has its nostalgic moments which I enjoy but it doesn’t really do anything for me. I still remember when it hit theaters. People were pissed it didn’t have MM in it. Halloween 4 came out years later and had a killer buzz going into opening night. I believe it did pretty well.

Which is what makes it all the more idiotic. Michael was as dead as you could get blown up with his eyes shot out, yet despite every trailer, tv spot, and general common sense telling you it's a different story. they expected MM to show up anyway.

Akkad took great leaps in logic to bring Michael back from the dead for the lame brain audience.

What about that Friday the 13th TV series that was spun off from the film yet had absolutely no relation to Jason or Camp Crystal Lake?

Good series that lasted a few seasons. Halloween coulda been the cinematic equivalent of Tales from the Crypt, but alas we get MM sequels recycling the same story over and over... some did it better than others, but in the end it was still just stalking n slashing. I was on board with the anthology idea.

Don't recall singling you out... but if you pissed and moaned about no Myers in 1982 and supported their change of heart resulting in the current chonologically deficient franchise we have now?... then yeah... ya ding bat.

You are making silly claims about audience members who enjoyed the latest Halloween film, audience members that have probably forgot more about horror then you will ever know.

Im not claiming anything about H18 except that it was merely decent not fantabulous. I'm talking about the original intent of the Halloween series being an anthology that was diverted by poor reception of HIII by the audience who wanted more of the same despite MM biting the bullet definitively in HII...

That literally never happened aside from Halloween III which was always intended to be a stand alone film.

I'm referring to the people that are bringing up possible ideas for this sequel, not past Halloween movies.

Nobody said anything about anybody pretending to be him. There are other maniacs on the loose that night - they could cause their own havoc before Michael Myers gets into things himself. I think it's an interesting idea.
