I ordered Mondo's "Birth.Movies.Death" Halloween issue and the HorrorHound special Tuesday evening. Mondo's issue arrived today (looks great based on a quick flip through), while HorrorHound's hasn't even shipped yet.

Can anyone give their opinions on these two Halloween based magazine specials.
Im thinking about getting the Mondo magazine or HorrorHound magazine.

Is the mondo one really just covering the history of the first Halloween 78 & the new film from what i hear of it.
Abit over the top alright even a magazine is ignoring the other Halloween films ahh haaa.

But then i see on the cover of the HorrorHound mag that it goes over all the films in the series.

Im not sure of which to get but the Mondo one from that company with the art they put out & their cover for this Halloween special & it cost more money could mean its better quality but the damn price also cost $22 to ship to me here in Ireland.

Either way these look like great magazines about the Halloween films.

Really enjoyed it but all ten teen bs drama kept taking me out of the movie. Can’t given see a good slasher movie without them adding dumb kids in it. Like I cared the girls boyfriend was kissing another girl how does have anything to do with Michael killing people.

Leads to
[Show spoiler]the granddaughter not having her cell phone, which is important for the second half when Laurie and Judy Greer can't get a hold of her
. I agree it was kinda annoying but not totally unimportant.

Did anyone else want a scene of Michael been captured put in the movie? a nice little retro looking scene... there were rumors that one had been filmed when a photo came out during filming that looked like Michael wearing a clean white mask.

I thought that was strange. in another other Halloween movie, the kid would have got it.. I guess now Michael is less supernatural he can't be in 5 places at once anymore.

I don't think they should have glossed over Michael's capture after the 1978 events. Watching the original and this back to back will seem odd as the original heavily implies that he's disappeared after falling off the balcony.

The whole scene was stupid.
[Show spoiler]Tell me what teen girl in existence is going to walk away from her expensive lifeline - her cell phone - when it could easily be wiped down. The smarter thing to do would have been for her to snap a video of her boyfriend kissing that girl, storm off and later confront him in the kitchen with the video. He tries to grab it from her, the phone slips, shatters and VOILA! A plot action that actually makes sense as to why she no longer has her phone. Her phone in the dip was amateur hour at best as far as writing goes.

No shit. Those scenes in the original are borderline unwatchable.

Maybe he’s all Business in this movie. I was telling my nephew that everyone who died broke the classic horror movie rules. Those who ddI drug was killed and the people about to have sex was killed and the guy who was drinking got killed classic horror movie rules you don’t break if you want to survive.

At this point the chances of a sequel are at least 95%.

I think right now they're figuring out exactly where they want to go with it and once they have something solid we'll hear some news.

Absolutely could’ve been done better, won’t argue that. Just meant to say that those scenes weren’t useless.
