ETA: Okay, expectations put in check. I just looked up Tyneside's schedule for that day and they have an impressive schedule, at first glance, especially with the 3-D films:

1 - Amityville 3-D - 35th Anniversary- 35mm Screening- Old school Red & Blue 3D
- 23:00 - 00:55*
2 - Piranha 3D
- 01:00 - 02:40*
3 - House Of Wax 3D
- 02:50 - 04:30*
4 - Friday The 13th Part III 3D - Old school Red & Blue 3D
- 04:45 - 06:30*

Unfortunately, look at the Amityville and Friday listings: "Old school Red & Blue 3D"

So, I'm assuming they are just projecting the Friday SE dvd with the failed anaglyphic transfer? If that's the case, I would suggest skipping it.

While I haven't seen the Amityville 3-D anaglyphic dvd, I can't imagine it being worth the trouble either.

On a sidenote, Let's Scare Jessica to Death from an original print? Yes, please!
Gaaaaaà seriously re the anaglyph?stuff that then

It's a bit of a head scratcher how this bootleg exists????

This is easily one of my favorite 3D movies now that I've seen it the way it was meant to be seen. Going to watch this two or three more times before Halloween... the 3D is so so so good
Tell me this, does the Friday the 13th title card have "A JsonTheGr8 3D Reconstruction" under the title?

I am conscious of the site forum rules for talking about torrents/non-legal assets, but the information below accompanies the release. I can confirm that this is a semi-pro job with excellent 3-D video and audio. There are some minor issues with colour matching from the sources used but other than that this is the best we are going to get, probably for ever... (please note, this release is not my work, just providing this info FYI)

"This is my custom side by side 3D recreation of Friday the 13th Part III, put together using the blu ray for one eye's view and a dvd for the other eye. Every scene has been alignment, convergence, and color corrected shot by shot to match as well as possible.

For approximately 15 minutes or so of the film, I only had one eye view available between the two main sources. For those scenes, I have chosen to convert the anaglyph (red/blue) blu ray to side by side, restoring the color as much as possible. My apologies for any color inconsistencies in these scenes, but everything that should be in 3D is in 3D. See the 2nd and last screenshots for examples of the anaglyph sourced footage.

I didn't have high quality sources for the opening/closing 3D Paramount logos available, so the logo used here is a 2D to 3D conversion (properly done using a depth map) using a low quality copy of the field sequential VHD release as a guide for the proper separation.

Finally, I've included multiple audio tracks for the sake of completeness. The recent 5.1 mix, the original theatrical mono mix, and the cast commentary from 2004 are all here."

I tried the same thing and could not get very good results. It was difficult to get accurate alignment. The colors were tough to get a good match. One version had more grain and the other was noise reduced. After a few scenes I gave up in frustration. If I had two high quality Blu-rays with each eye then things may have been different.

They must have had two HD sources (one for each eye.) I am pretty sure they did not use a DVD and Blu Ray either. I can't wait to try this one out on my projector to see how well it holds up. I'll report back after I do. Looking at a few scenes on my computer, it looks pretty good.

I just tried this out on my LG E6 played with a Panny 820.
It's a game changer!

By far the best F-13 3D transfer out there. Smokes the official version. I've owned about every copy out there, unofficial and official. I even have the Japanese VHD.

This beats everything hands down. It has some color issues from time to time but the 3D is above excellent.

The opening credits pop WAY out! Most, if not all of the gags finally work, plus some others I never remembered. Lots of huge depth throughout. Puts the Anaglyph 3D to shame.

From the forum rules:

•It is strictly prohibited to discuss websites, techniques, software and any and all methods that can be used to duplicate, acquire or otherwise access copyrighted and copy protected material except via approved methods by the copyright holders (Blu-ray, DVD, iTunes, digital on-disc copies etc). This includes any and all all variations of disc copying software, torrents and any and all technologies that are available or may become available in the future for these purposes. This also includes any other form of illegal or unethical behaviour for example the unauthorised reproduction of copyright material and trademarks. Any breach deemed serious enough will be forwarded to the relevant authorities.

Having said that, the irony is that fans have apparently delivered what Paramount couldn't. This is the easily one of the best 3D films EVER and to see it in real 3D is one of the best 3D experiences you will ever have. That said, you can't get it legally and links mustn't be posted here so all us law-abiding folk must keep hoping in vain that there's a legitimate 3D Blu-ray one day soon...

...because we're all law-abiding, right?

ASH61 really did an amazing job.

Here's a bit of info I found
Mounted: as a source for one angle taken BD 2D, for another - DVD 2D. For about 15 minutes of the film, the angles on these sources were the same, these scenes were obtained by deanaglyphing with BD 3D Anaglyph. The author of the video, as far as possible, corrected the color-brightness characteristics of the angles.
About 6 minutes of the beginning of the movie video in 2D (this is done by the authors of the film).
The Russian audio road is obtained by inserting the cut phrases into the center of the original (thanks to the source of the Russian road, thanks to flaSI-I !).

This film needs a proper 3D release. I remember the pop-outs being outrageously strong.

Just went through a few scenes and this looks great. The color looks good and the depth is nice. Thank you for post and the pm with how to get it. Now I can start my watch through the series and feel like I got to see a decent 3d version of part 3.

Thanks to those who sent me PMs.

Thanks also to those who are allowing this to be discussed here- I know it’s a touchy subject for many forums, but Paramount has had plenty of chances to put this out legitimately and they simply refuse. I would’ve bought the box set that came out a few years ago JUST to get this movie in 3D, but they instead repackaged the obsolete red and blue format disc with that instead of doing it properly. This has been one of the most wanted 3D titles out there and they simply won’t put it out. It’s likely some people would have bought into 3D equipment if this had been available.

And they say 3D is dead, imagine the amount of sales they (paramount) would make with this title alone.
